Blockchains gave me a way to save for my future. I am old enough to know the history of stock markets. I have seen people ready to retire in style, have the stock market plummet, and end up working for another decade to be able to retire in comfort.

Blockchain tokens are based on Bitcoin prices and other world factors just like the stock market. Knowing this I always looked at my earnings in crypto as a long term retirement plan. Up until a few months ago, I had no idea how to go about exchanging my cryptocurrency into fiat. It is easier to save what you can not get to.

Tronageddon started.

I decided it was time to buckle down and slowly learn how crypto exchanges, like Bittrex, worked. A year before I had tried some trading with very small amounts of crypto just to test it out. From that experience, I already had accounts on most of the crypto exchanges. The time to go that last mile was here. I needed to learn how to exchange my crypto tokens into fiat and send it to my bank account.

Research came in the form of Googleing and swearing like a sailor. I found out 99% of the articles on "How to turn Criptocurrancy into fiat" were written by people that assumed you already knew what you were doing. A concept with tutorials I will never understand. Finally, I pieced together, using eight different posts, a general idea of how I would accomplish my task. I was very relieved when my test run showed I now had USD 10.00 in my bank account.

Hive was born.

I started my first ever power down. Over the next twelve weeks, I funneled my hard-earned cryptocurrency from the other blockchain to an exchange. Some went into purchasing more Hive tokens, some lesser-known tokens, and finally some I exchanged into fiat.

Wanting to grow my YouTube channel to add much-needed income into my life has been a goal of mine for a while now. You need 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours to be able to monetize your channel. As you can see below I have a long way to go.

For the first time in over ten years, I had an influx of cash and one chance to be able to do something I would love and would not be too taxing on my health.

What did I want? What could I do that would be sustainable for me keeping in mind my health limitations? What made me so happy that I wanted to share it with the world? Those were questions that needed honest answers.

Gaming makes me happy, yet, I have tried on numerous occasions to post gaming series. Each series never ended. I would run out of energy before I could finish the storyline.

Makeup makes me happy but the reality of me making enough interesting content where I would not get bored was slim to none. Que BoxyCharm unboxing videos.

I love presents. I love mystery boxes of any kind. I love not knowing what is inside a box. The suspense of opening boxes filled with items from a theme, of my choosing, brings me joy. It always has. Whether opening a gaming mystery box or Christmas presents, wondering what will be inside the present (box) has always made me a tad giddy.

Making videos offer me the freedom to take days off if I do not feel well. On days I do feel good I can film and edit the videos at any time after the filming is done. It seems like the perfect plan for me.

More questions needed to be answered honestly.

How do you make your channel different from other ones so people want to come to watch you unbox something? Be your true self. Instead of ordering all the same subscription boxes as other unboxing channels do I went out and looked for subscription boxes that would make me happy to receive.

They offer three different subscription boxes to choose from. Being very careful I ordered the least expensive one. In the video above you can see what I received. I was blown away by the craftsmanship and designs I had received.

On February 22, 2017, ALS took my mom, my angel, my hero, and best friend. It has been a devastating and heart-wrenching time in my life and for all who knew and loved her. As some of the clouds start to subside, I have decided to do something that would keep her wonderful spirit alive. In October 2017 Betsy Rocks Jewelry for a Cause was born! It is my hope that with this jewelry line I can continue to donate money to ALS research and for people living with ALS and to raise more awareness about this awful disease.

The answers to the question, "will I will be able to make a self-sustainable YouTube channel?" remains to be seen. If I can help others realize their dreams while trying to pursuing mine... It doesn't get any better than that!
