It's with immense joy that i welcome you to the Hive Open Mic Week #211

I'm your lover girl @sessy, and I'm super excited to be here again this week..

Our theme for this week is "Breathe", so i decided to sing "Breathe Upon Me" by Neon Adejo

Recording this song brought me into a new level of experience in my history of doing a song cover, it's more like unlocking a new level.

It was a really overwhelming and trilling experience for me, as i have never been this emotional when singing - ever since i became a part of the Hive community.
And to think i had no prior knowledge of the song. I came across it when I was exploring songs i could sing in line with the theme.

Guys, i got so emotional as i was performing the song, and cried after recording, i was moved to tears as i painstakingly beseeched God to breathe upon me and show me how to love and live like Him.

Often times, we believe that we know God's ways and plans, but reverse is the case, as we do not even come close to knowing Him, because His ways are not our ways. It takes more than an effort to get to know God, as He is unpredictable.

And we've gotten so blinded with worldly things, that we failed to realize that we need God to breathe upon us.

We can only pray to be guided by Him, He leads and we follow. Although, there are people who serve God with all their might, and they know God to a great and significant extent, they are close to perfection, but can never be perfect. God has shown them His Love and power, and they're seen as righteous people in His eyes.

I wish that, someday I'll get to move closer to Him, and get to know Him more, so that i can live and love like He does.
And it can only happen if He breathes upon me, and teaches me how to pray and be like Him.

The song started with the LORD'S PRAYER, and as many of us know, in the book of Matthew and Luke, we read about Jesus teaching His disciples how they should pray, when He was asked how we should pray.

Matthew 6:9-13 - "This, then, is how you should pray: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."

Luke 11:2-4 - "He said to them, "When you pray, say: "Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation."

I fervently need God's divine intervention in my life, and i really want to get closer to Him. And right now, i am delighted to let you all know that, i felt His presence as i recorded the song, and i got a step closer to Him, thanks to this wonderful "theme - BREATHE" and of course the amazing and incredible writer of the song - Neon Adejo.

I personalized this song and sang it like i own it, i craved for God as i thought about the book of Psalm 119 vs 25-27 which says:

I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to your word. I gave an account of my ways and you answered me; teach me your decrees. Cause me to understand the way of your precepts, that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.

I allowed myself breathe into the breath of God, as i felt Him breathe His breath into me. And i must say it was divine and magical.

I enjoyed every bit of this magic and i hope you allow yourself breathe also as you allow God breathe upon you.
