Hello, community, my participation this week is with a very old, very emotional song, to which we cannot remain indifferent. This is "The Prison Song" by Graham Nash.

It was 1974 when Graham Nash included this piece in his album "Déjà Vú" without suspecting all the success it would have. The original version begins with a harmonica solo with a nostalgic melody that is almost a lament. The lyrics are simple but extremely emotional. It is a song that touches the heart.

Between its lines the complaint can be seen. There are no rich people in prison because they can pay to buy their freedom, but the poor will remain there because their limited purchasing power will not allow them to do so.

I always liked this song as a child even without knowing its meaning, its melody is too special, it reaches the heart, practically without the need for words.

The friends of Music Zone were kind enough to find and share with me a YouTube link where I could watch such an episode. I watched it three times and enjoyed it to the fullest! Fortunately, this chapter included a summary of the entire plot from its beginnings, which made up for any gaps I had in my memories (I should point out that the "more than 20 years" is easily rounded to 40 years).
Well, grateful to have finally been able to be a viewer of one of the few soap operas that I have followed.

Hola, comunidad, mi participación está semana es con una canción muy antigua, muy emotiva, ante la cual no podemos permanecer indiferentes. Se trata de "La Canción de la Prisión" de Graham Nash.

Era el año 1974 cuando Graham Nash incluyó en su álbum "Déjà Vú" está pieza sin sospechar todo el éxito que tendría. La versión original comienza con un sólo de armónica con una melodía nostálgica que es casi un lamento. La letra es sencilla pero sumamente emotiva. Es una canción que toca el corazón.

Entre sus líneas se adivina la denuncia. En la prisión no hay ricos porque ellos pueden pagar para comprar su libertad pero el pobre permanecerá en ella porque su escasa capacidad adquisitiva no le permitirá hacerlo.

Esta canción siempre me gustó de niña aun sin conocer su significado, su melodía es demasiado especial, llega al corazón, prácticamente sin necesidad de palabras.

Como se le rompió una cuerda a mi guitarra me tocó acompañarme con el Cuatro. Estoy de reposo por ciertos problemas de salud. Si me ven "cachetona" no estoy engordando sino reteniendo líquido, pero ese es ya otro tema. Aproveché estos días de " libertad obligada" y pude tomar el tiempo necesario para ver el capítulo final de "Más allá del horizonte". Cuando canté acá en la semana 43, ronda 1 la canción "Quisiera" de Ricardo Montaner les mencioné que había sido - en Venezuela - el tema musical de la telenovela argentina - basada en hechos reales - "Más allá del horizonte". Una bellísima historia de amor entre la dueña de una estancia con Catriel, un indígena de la región. Nunca pude saber en qué quedó porque el día del capítulo final se fue la luz, el capítulo no lo repitieron, no existían las redes sociales para enterarse de las cosas. Los amigos de Music Zone tuvieron la gentileza de buscar y compartirme un Link de Youtube donde podría ver tal capítulo ¡Lo vi tres veces y lo disfruté al maximo! Afortunadamente este capítulo incluía un resumen de toda la trama desde sus inicios lo cual compensó las lagunas que tuviera en mis recuerdos (debo puntualizar que el "más de 20 años" se redondea fácilmente en 40 años)
Bueno, agradecida de haber podido ser espectadora al fin de una de las pocas telenovelas que he seguido.

Y es que... esta red es mágica, con mucha gente bella y pasan cosas como esta.
