[Esp-Eng] Pintando un Hiver: @manuelramos

El día de hoy deseo compartir con ustedes una expresión artística en nombre de una gran persona con un gran corazón. ¿Su nombre? @manuelramos y él forma parte de la comunidad de Street Workout Community (SWC)

Today I want to share with you an artistic expression on behalf of a great person with a great heart. His name? @manuelramos and he is part of the Street Workout Community (SWC).

Durante el pasado Hive Art Meetup realizado en la ciudad de Barquisimeto tuve la oportunidad de conocerlo y tratar con él. Es una persona maravillosa con quién dan ganas de continuar hablando. Durante ese hermoso encuentro llevé un obsequio para Natalia y Zully a lo que él quedó encantado con sus retratos de estilo caricaturesco.

Semanas después y para ser específica el pasado 11 de septiembre se llevaría a cabo la Exhibición Street Workout Community en Barquisimeto. Por lo que no dude en llevarle una sorpresa y regalarle también un retrato pintado a mano.

Mediante este obsequio y palabras quiero agradecerle lo mucho que hace por la maravillosa comunidad que practica, esta disciplina, el profesionalismo que se llevó a cabo durante el evento, así como también a su madre @marlenya Dos seres muy especiales, gracias por continuar ayudando a los jóvenes y hacer un excelente trabajo. ¡Aplausos de pie para ustedes y toda la comunidad @swc-oficial!

During the last Hive Art Meetup held in the city of Barquisimeto I had the opportunity to meet him and deal with him. He is a wonderful person with whom you want to continue talking. During that beautiful meeting I brought a gift for Natalia and Zully to which he was delighted with his cartoon style portraits.

Weeks later and to be specific, last September 11th the Street Workout Community Exhibition would take place in Barquisimeto. So I did not hesitate to bring him a surprise and also give him a hand painted portrait.

Through this gift and words I want to thank him for all he does for the wonderful community that practices this discipline, the professionalism that took place during the event, as well as his mother @marlenya Two very special beings, thank you for continuing to help young people and do an excellent job. Standing applause for you and the entire community @swc-official!

Para comenzar con el primer paso realicé el boceto de la imagen correspondiente sobre el cartón reciclado. En este dibujo quise resaltar principalmente los detalles de la caricatura más que el fondo de la misma. Quería lograr ese aspecto "borroso" que se logra en los retratos.

To start with the first step, I made a sketch of the corresponding image on the recycled cardboard. In this drawing I wanted to highlight mainly the details of the caricature rather than the background. I wanted to achieve that "blurred" aspect that is achieved in portraits.

Pinté la zona del rostro y cuello usando color piel con un poco de marrón y rojo para dar ese aspecto tostado.

I painted the face and neck area using skin color with a bit of brown and red to give that toasted look.

Continué oscureciendo dando sombras estilo acuarela con negro y marrón, además pintando los detalles negros alrededor como los lentes, en la parte inferior de los mismos y en el bolso.

I continued to darken by giving watercolor style shadows with black and brown, plus painting the black details around such as the lenses, on the bottom of the lenses and on the bag.

Continúe agregando más detalles, dando sombras e iluminaciones, así como también los demás colores restantes, con los lápices de colores acuarelables di los detalles más pequeños pero muy relevantes. Dando un aspecto de "pelo a pelo" en la barba, surcos de la piel y delimitaciones, mi mayor preocupación en este caso no fue la oscuridad brindada por los colores, ya que al ser de acuarela podría desvanecerlos con agua.

I continued adding more details, giving shadows and illuminations, as well as the other remaining colors, with the watercolor crayons I gave the smallest but very relevant details. Giving a "hair by hair" aspect in the beard, skin furrows and delimitations, my main concern in this case was not the darkness provided by the colors, since being watercolor I could fade them with water.

Finalice agregando un fondo montañoso con diversas tonalidades dentro de las que resaltaban los colores verdes, amarillos, marrones y grises en diversas escalas. Aún estando fresco pase pinceladas con agua que me ayudarían a desvanecer, así como mezclar los tonos entre sí.

I finished by adding a mountainous background with different shades of green, yellow, brown and gray colors in different scales. Even though it was still fresh, I used water brushstrokes to help me to fade, as well as to mix the tones with each other.
