Raksha Bandhan is a very special function that is celebrated in our Hindu culture to depict the sacred bond of trust and togetherness between brothers and sister. This year, his elder sister Anusha (my elder brother's daughter) sent a very special package, that had load of sweets apart from other items needed for the rituals.
Even though the festival started yesterday, we celebrated it today as per the rituals followed in Lord Jagannath temple. The school had given holiday yesterday so the boy had to go to school today. Our daughter has been suffering from very high viral fever since last week, however, she put up all the strength today and got up early, and became ready to complete the rituals before he leaves for school. I never saw this high fever in my life time, she hit 103.8, but then the doctor said, the viral fever has changed its shape after Covid. She is doing a little better now after starting very high antibiotics advised by the doctor - so kudos to her for today's readiness.
We do not have sisters, my wife does not have a brother, so whenever we see this festival getting celebrated, it makes us emotional to feel the sacred bond of trust and togetherness, that a brother and sister share while growing under the same roof - the bond is a commitment for the entire life. They love as well as fight with each other, but they care a lot for each other.
All shots shoot on Sony Alpha 6400. And I have also loaded the video on youtube to share with some family members as they reported difficulty to play videos in my blog.
