86 days I have been actively participating in the #iamalivechallenge. Today I did several lessons in my Udemy courses. I have been learning how to write my own WP Theme. This is one of those things I will probably never do but it is nice to have an idea how it is done.
The big "secret" to WordPress development is knowing all the PHP functions that are available. Finally, the instructor said that he wasn't going to have people memorize a bunch of functions. You should just search google for what you want to do in WP. This should get you to the appropriate function in the WP developers documentation.
The combination of PHP, CSS and HTML is still driving me crazy. It is so easy to to make syntax errors. One 15-20 minute lesson took me over an hour because of syntax errors. A missing ';' here, a missing '>' there, an extra '(' all lead to errors a are hard for me to find. I need to learn more about Visual Studio. It should be more helpful than it is.
Today's lesson is about your 'S.M.A.R.T goals'. S.M.A.R.T stands for specific, measurable, attainable, revalent, timely. These goals should be written down in Moleskine notebook or journal so you can look at them every day. I think a lot of us are already doing that with our Hive Goals.
