Hello, my brothers from Hive Music! First of all, I want to wish you a nice weekend. I'm almost at the time limit to participate in the retro initiative, but I didn't want to miss it. So today I bring you "La Agonía", a song by the Lebrón Brothers. Although it is not one of their most famous songs, I wanted to share it because it is one of my favorites of the group. It was composed by José Lebrón, the group's pianist, and released by Cotique Records as part of their 1971 album called "Picadillo a la Criolla". It is worth mentioning that it was not the original version that I knew first, but a live version by the same orchestra with Luigi Texidor on vocals. The lyrics of this song present a stance of independence, respect for individual experiences and a preference for dealing with pain and agony in solitude. The singer expresses his desire to be true to himself and find gratitude, regardless of the outcome of his personal struggles. Finally, it is very important to note the kind of swing with which this orchestra played, whatever subject they were talking about. Así que hoy les traigo "La Agonía", una canción de los Hermanos Lebrón. Aunque no es una de sus canciones más famosas, quería compartirla porque es una de mis favoritas de la agrupación. Fue compuesta por José Lebrón, el pianista del grupo, y publicada por Cotique Records como parte de su álbum de 1971 llamado "Picadillo a la Criolla". Cabe decir que no fue la versión original la que conocí primero, sino una versión en vivo de la misma orquesta con Luigi Texidor en la voz. La letra de esta canción presenta una postura de independencia, respeto por las experiencias individuales y una preferencia por lidiar con el dolor y la agonía en soledad. El cantante expresa su deseo de ser fiel a sí mismo y encontrar gratitud, sin importar el resultado de sus luchas personales.
