AL SON DEL ARPA VENEZOLANA!!

Me confieso un apasionado por la música llanera, musica de mi hermosa tierra Venezuela, soy un fiel defensor de nuestro folklore, y, estoy agradecido de poder ejecutar los dos instrumentos representativos de nuestra música, como es el arpa y el cuatro, agradezco a Dios y a mi abuelo que fue quien me incursionó en el mundo de la música, y, a mi amado Dios quien me ha dado la destreza necesaria, y una voz para poder cantar!

TO THE SOUND OF THE VENEZUELAN HARP!

I confess to be passionate about the music of the llanera, music of my beautiful land Venezuela, I am a faithful defender of our folklore, and I am grateful to be able to play the two representative instruments of our music, such as the harp and the cuatro, I thank God and my grandfather who was the one who introduced me to the world of music, and my beloved God who has given me the necessary skills and a voice to sing!

No puedo decir que no me gustan otros generos , pero nada más hermoso que una melodía al son del arpa, cuatro y maracas, suena a llano, suena a Venezuela, suena a mi tierra!

Tuve un buen tiempo alejado del arpa, debido a que mi maestro del arpa ha estado ocupado, y no me ha podido atender más, asi, que me puse por mi propia cuenta a recordar lo aprendido y a tratar de montar nuevas canciones!

I can't say that I don't like other genres, but there is nothing more beautiful than a melody to the sound of the harp, cuatro and maracas, it sounds like the llano, it sounds like Venezuela, it sounds like my land!

I had a long time away from the harp, because my harp teacher has been busy, and could not attend me anymore, so I started on my own to remember what I learned and try to assemble new songs!

Son muchos los cantantes llaneros que ponen el nombre de Venezuela en alto, pero en definitiva uno de los que más admiro es Jorge Guerrero, sus letras sus melodias, un gran artista!

Por ello he traído para mi entrada en esta semana 57, ronda 3 una cancion titulada: por el Arauca agua arriba, lanzada en el año 1997.

En su letra hace referencia a un recorrido que hace por Elorza, visitando caseríos en busca de un amor, y, que espera encontrar, al tiempo que describe costumbres del llano, como tomarse un cafecito, o un baile al son del arpa, cuatro y maracas!

There are many llanero singers who put the name of Venezuela on high, but definitely one of those I admire the most is Jorge Guerrero, his lyrics, his melodies, a great artist!

That is why I have brought for my entry in this week 57, round 3 a song titled: por el Arauca agua arriba, released in 1997.

In his lyrics he refers to a journey through Elorza, visiting hamlets in search of a love, and, he hopes to find, while describing customs of the plains, as taking a coffee, or a dance to the sound of the harp, four and maracas!
