Hive Open Mic 🎤 week 184 ~ There was Jesus || Cover song by Princessbusayo.

Happy weekend to the Hive Open Mic Community. For the theme which is titled "Sabor" and its English word is "Flavor", I did a cover song titled "There Was Jesus" by Zach Williams.

We all know that music is life. Music adds flavor and spice up our lives. When we are depressed, we go for a kind of song that matches our mood at that moment and before we know it, we are lightened up again. Some days ago, I had a demotivating moment and I felt the day wasn't going to be good. Towards the evening time, I thought of listening to music perhaps my mood would change and it did. Music is a kind of thing that gives us another feeling.

This song brings flavor also. The first time I listened to the song, I knew how powerful it was. It became a song I kept repeating throughout this week because of the meaning of those lyrics. According to the song, the author is trying to make us realize that Jesus is all around us but we do not notice. When facing some difficulties in life, we feel He isn't there but He is. We only need to reach out and call on Him and He will gladly answer us.

The author was going through some tough moments, his life was collapsing, and those friends he thought he had were nowhere to be found but He never knew Jesus was watching and around all those times. This is what many of us do not realize many times. We feel that we are alone on our own but it is because we haven't thought of bringing things to Jesus' feet.

Listening to this song, I appreciate God for always being with me. My life might be going through hard moments but when I believe that Jesus is on the boat, I don't need to worry anymore.

Another part I love in the song is where the artist says, "I'm not perfect but I thank God for my life". No one is perfect but only a few would be grateful for what they have, the kind of condition they are in etc. When we can appreciate God for whatever we are or have, He will always come through for us. When I look back at my life, there are things I ought to have but didn't have, yet, it doesn't make me complain to God but to be thankful for life and knowing that as long as there is someone called Jesus, things would keep paving way for me.
