    About :

Hello beefriends! Spring has sprung here in the northern hemisphere, and though it is WAY too early to begin planting outside where I live, I wanted to get my balcony cleaned up and sorted. When I moved into this apartment in October/November, my balcony became this last minute catchall as it was a big open space that I wasn't really using during the winter months. Yes, some "inside" things got snowed on that I normally would not have kept outside, and I ended up throwing some things out (including two old litterboxes since Yuan seems content with the current setup of just one big one in New Apartment).

So this was more of a spring cleaning than a "garden set up," for two main reasons: 1) it's too cold to garden outside yet and 2) I couldn't find the wingnuts to put the table back together. LOL! Yes, I did the thing when I moved in and the wingnuts to hold the table legs on were sitting out on a box, I said, "let me put these away someplace safe so I don't lose them in the moving chaos" and then ...I lost them in the moving chaos. I have no idea where that "safe place" is at the moment. Hopefully I figure it out. xD

But it was perfect timing for The Minimalist community's spring cleaning/declutter contest, so I made a little time lapse of my work! I didn't take photos of what went in the trash/recycling as I was just running it out and not touching my phone with dirty hands, but there was some decluttering, as well as general organization. :)

Once I have the table put back together and it's warm enough to fill some of those plant pots with soil, it will look a bit more cozy I hope, but for now, it's at least cleaned up and organized, even if the chairs are still stacked and the table is on it's side and the plant pots are in a heap on the little red wagon. ;)

So please enjoy my little time lapse video of photos! You'll see it really was chaotic when I started.

And yes, Yuan was a good helper! He always cheers me on. He didn't stay outside for long, though - as I said, it's still a bit nippy out, though it did at least get into the 60s (fahrenheit!) today!

Oh! And if you've never seen me post about my balcony garden - I also have the statue garden out there that I do, so that is why there are some statues that need repair in one of the last photos in the time lapse. They all probably need a wash, too, but for now most of them are on the air conditioner's outside part, except for the large/heavy/broken ones. Statue repair is on my to-do list, as well.
