Armando MTB - 24 Km - Durísimos [Esp/Eng Subtitled] 🇦🇷

   Una vez aceptado, ya no hay vuelta atrás. Me refiero, a participar de una carrera gratuita, organizada por una empresa local y por diferentes razones, decidieron realizarlo en el campo. A priori, tan solo 24 km, parecía un trámite, como decimos en Argentina; Pero sinceramente, una carrera que nos exigió en demasía y más aún, que en lo particular, mi bicicleta es muy básica. ¡Pero allá fuimos!

Once accepted, there is no turning back. I mean, to participate in a free race, organized by a local company and for different reasons, they decided to do it in the countryside. A priori, only 24 km, it seemed a formality, as we say in Argentina; But honestly, a race that demanded us too much and even more, that in particular, my bike is very basic. But there we went!

      Muchas ciclistas amateurs, otros con varios kilómetros como yo y algunos de elite, se hicieron presente en magnífico evento. Muchos, sin saber del dolor que le esperaba, se dispusieron a participar (gracias al gran trabajo de marketing, de la gente de Armando) y allá fueron.
Armando es una gran empresa de la zona, poli rubro realmente, desde materiales para la construcción, construcciones propiamente dichas, eventos y más; Ellos, cada año, realizan un evento deportivo en la zona y no siempre ciclismo. ¡Felicitaciones por eso!

Many amateur cyclists, others with several kilometers like me and some of the elite, were present in this magnificent event. Many, without knowing the pain that awaited them, were willing to participate (thanks to the great marketing work of Armando's people) and there they went.
Armando is a great company in the area, poly business really, from materials for construction, construction itself, events and more; They, every year, make a sporting event in the area and not always cycling. Congratulations for that!

      Hombre precavido, vale por dos, decía mi abuela y es por eso que siempre, antes de comenzar, damos unas vueltas para reconocer el circuito y créanme, que estuve a nada de desistir a participar. Pero amigos, se vive solo una vez y sin miedo al éxito, nos sumergimos al dolor.
Antes, sacamos aire de nuestras ruedas, porque los pozos que había debajo del pasto era infernal y más aún, que el 70% del circuito era igual.

A cautious man is worth two, my grandmother used to say and that is why, before starting, we always do a few laps to recognize the circuit and believe me, I was about to give up participating. But friends, you only live once and without fear of success, we dive into the pain.
Before, we took air out of our tires, because the pits under the grass were hellish and even more, that 70% of the circuit was the same.

      Intentar hidratarte o comer algo, en el circuito, era casi imposible. Teníamos que esperar a llegar a la zona de ripio, que por cierto era muy corta, pero suficiente para alimentarnos. Para estas exigencias siempre debemos comer muy bien e hidratarnos; antes, durante y luego de la competencia.

Trying to hydrate or eat something on the circuit was almost impossible. We had to wait until we reached the gravel area, which by the way was very short, but enough to feed ourselves. For these demands we should always eat very well and hydrate ourselves; before, during and after the competition.

      Nuestra amiga del Ciclón Ezeiza (Pelu), se descompensó y por suerte fue atendida inmediatamente y cuando veo a Mario, que iba a su ritmo, sinceramente agradecí al universo por tan maravillosa postal; 73 años y sometiéndose a tamaño castigo (castigo del bueno), es digno de aplausos.

Our friend from Ciclón Ezeiza (Pelu), decompensated and fortunately was attended immediately and when I see Mario, who was going at his own pace, I sincerely thanked the universe for such a wonderful postcard; 73 years old and undergoing such a punishment (good punishment), it is worthy of applause.

      Durante la carrera, me aseguré que mis amigos del Ciclón, (con los que mantenemos una sana rivalidad), no me alcanzaran; Pero, un ciclista que no lo conozco, se prendió en la disputa por el puesto conmigo. En el video, lo verán en varias oportunidades; Por supuesto, Palabras (si arriba de la bicicleta soy Palabras, algún día les contaré por qué), ya se había percatado de la situación y tenía un plan de ataque, que por suerte termino muy bien. Este consistía, en realizar un embalaje, los últimos metros de carrera, a sabiendo que íbamos en contra del viento (que por cierto es mi fuerte) y así fue. ¡Lo reflejo el este GIF!

Como mensaje, puedo decir, que no es necesario tener lo mejor (aunque sí lo tienes, genial), para lograr los objetivos. ¡Solo basta, con creer que puedes!

During the race, I made sure that my friends from Ciclón, (with whom we have a healthy rivalry), did not catch me; But, a cyclist that I do not know, got into the dispute for the place with me. In the video, you will see him several times; Of course, Palabras (if on the bike I am Palabras, someday I will tell you why), had already realized the situation and had a plan of attack, which fortunately ended very well. This consisted in packing the last meters of the race, knowing that we were going against the wind (which by the way is my forte) and so it was. I reflect it in this GIF!

As a message, I can say that you don't need to have the best (although if you do, great) to achieve your goals, you just need to believe that you can!
