Ya en su etapa final el round Robín del béisbol profesional en Venezuela está lleno de emoción e incógnita; ya con los Leones del Caracas clasificados a la gran final desde la antepenúltima fecha y los Tigres de Aragua como primer eliminados en la penúltima jornada se va despejando el camino a la gran final donde solo queda un cupo y tres equipos con opciones de este último boleto. Los Tiburones de la Guaira, Cardenales de Lara y Navegantes del Magallanes, buscaran hacer el trabajo que los lleve a la instancia decisiva. La Guaira pareciera tener cierta ventaja ya que se ubica en el segundo lugar de la tabla con record de 8 ganados 7 perdidos, con un juego por encima de Lara y Magallanes que tienen 7-8 respectivamente. Para la última jornada los Tiburones serán locales y enfrentaran a unos eliminados Tigres de Aragua, de ganar este compromiso La Guaira clasifica automáticamente, si pierde deberá esperar por quien resulte ganador entre Cardenales y Navegantes, el vencedor de este compromiso enfrentaría a los “Escualos” en un juego extra, si estos terminan de perder su último juego de la campaña frente a los Tigres.
