    About :

The composer, songwriter and pianist Fito Paez recorded in 1987 the album Ciudad de pobre corazones, an album marked by tragedy and desolation, since the grandmothers who accompanied him in his childhood were brutally murdered in the province of Rosario. While on tour in Brazil, the musician received the terrible news. When he arrived in Argentina, the situation was very strong, on the one hand the media harassed him constantly and on the other hand, to top it all, they wanted to accuse him of such a tragic event. Fito travels to Tahiti and there he manages to compose most of the songs of the album. The content is the most aggressive and darkest musical work he had ever recorded, even the cover shows Fito attacking or defending himself against something or someone. In the end it was found out that it was a neighbor and former schoolmate and frustrated musician who committed the crime.

In this album there is a beautiful song titled "Ambar Violeta" that Fito composed for his piano teacher. The song has a beautiful melody with a great melancholic charge that describes part of the experiences of that teacher. Today, I wanted to share it with you, this is my version.

    Lyrics

Sunbeams at the hour of the sun
    She was in any
    In any season
    Waiting for a fatality
    Or a call from heaven
    Feeling a low-pressure dizziness
At least she has that little bit of humor left
What's the use? If one spends searching
    And losing certainties
    Only when it's gone
Only when you're not in it, love
    It does you good
To get into your labyrinth carousel
    It's good for him
Nothing is here, no better, no worse
    Only his eyes change color
At one hour of the day
They are tinged with violet amber
No one knows and no one saw her
Now she has a great horn under her heart
And she runs away from all the men
    Who want to have her
    Only when she's gone
Only when she's not in this love
    It does her good
To get into her carousel labyrinth
    It's good for her
