Los 16 de Miguel... Celebrando la Vida. El 11 de agosto del año 2096 vino a este mundo mi hijo Miguel Alejandro, un ser que nos alegró la vida desde el primer instante en que supimos que se estaba formando en el vientre de su madre, un niño que es ejemplo de voluntad y ganas de aferrarse a la vida. El sabe muy bien que su estadía en este mundo no ha sido facil, sin embargo la ha afrontado con total gallardía y valentía. Por este medio le he hablado mucho de él y de todas las dificultades que ha tenido que pasar, las dos últimas recientes más difíciles que las otras, en una de ellas casi pierde uno de los dedos de su pie derecho a causa de la punzada de un pez sapo. Una situación muy dolorosa que afrontó durante más de un mes, pero gracias a Dios y su valentía la pudo superar.

Tal vez digan que en un momento de celebración no se pueden estar diciendo estas cosas, pero desde mi punto de vista si se han vivido momentos difíciles y se han superado, las celebraciones se disfrutan con más fuerza. En tal sentido, el día de ayer celebramos los 16 años de este grandioso ser que me ha demostrado que las dificultades son para superarlas y dejarlas atrás sin importar lo difíciles que sean. Un niño que se lo merece todo a pesar de que en momentos puede ser malcriado y rebelde, pero ¿quién no lo ha sido a su edad?. Es un niño que se conforma con las cosas que le ofrecen sin ningún tipo de ambición. Era momento de celebrar su vida, vida que le pido a Dios le otorgue largamente, como no desear esto para nuestros hijos si son nuestro todo.

Miguel's 16... Celebrating Life. On August 11, 2096 my son Miguel Alejandro came into this world, a being who made our lives happy from the first moment we knew he was being formed in his mother's womb, a child who is an example of will and desire to cling to life. He knows very well that his stay in this world has not been easy, however he has faced it with total courage and bravery. Through this medium I have told you a lot about him and all the difficulties he has had to go through, the last two recent ones more difficult than the others, in one of them he almost lost one of the toes of his right foot because of the sting of a toad fish. A very painful situation that she faced for more than a month, but thanks to God and her courage she was able to overcome it.

Maybe they say that in a moment of celebration you can not be saying these things, but from my point of view if you have lived difficult moments and have overcome them, the celebrations are enjoyed with more strength. In that sense, yesterday we celebrated the 16th birthday of this great being who has shown me that difficulties are to overcome them and leave them behind no matter how difficult they are. A child who deserves everything, even though he can be spoiled and rebellious at times, but who hasn't been at his age? He is a child who is content with the things that are offered to him without any ambition. It was time to celebrate his life, a life that I ask God to grant him for a long time, how can we not wish this for our children if they are our everything.

Para este día el quiso que le hicieran dos tortas, una para estar en compañía de sus abuelos porque debido al repunte de la pandemia están de nuevo un poco caseros y no salen mucho. Por ello, nos fuimos a la casa de ellos con la torta de chocolate; la otra de parchita para compartirla con los amigos con quién se la pasa día a día. Esos mismos compañeros llegaron a la casa bien temprano antes de irnos para darle la sorpresa y felicitarlo. De verdad que lo sorprendieron, en la noche tocaba con ellos. Lo cierto es que el pensamiento de Miguel eran sus dos tortas, pero en realidad él tenía conocimiento de que habían hecho una sola, porque al llegar a casa de su abuelos fue sorprendido con la torta de chocolate, además de una bonita sudadera que le obsequiaron.

Es válido destacar que días antes yo le había regalado un teléfono celular con motivo de la cercanía de su cumpleaños, además de haber aprobado con total éxito su cuarto año de bachillerato. Como muchos saben, en las celebraciones que hacemos lo tradicional es realizar el popular sancocho o sopa, pero en esta oportunidad Miguel hizo una solicitud específica. Quería un arroz con pollo añadiendo chorizo ahumado y pepperoni, imagínense ustedes ese deseo. Pero como sus deseos son órdenes, eso fue lo que le preparamos entre su mamá y mi persona.

Era su día, y había que complacerlo; picamos los ingredientes y manos a la obra, porque al final todo quedó espectacular, servimos y a comer se ha dicho. Por otro lado es inevitable dejar de mencionar a nuestra madre #hive porque nada sería posible sin sus bendiciones, y esto jamás será repetitivo decirlo, porque el que sabe agradecer siempre tendrá en su corazón la misma bondad y bendición que recibe. Hive será más fuerte, si todos aprendemos a valorar lo que nos da.

For this day he wanted to have two cakes made, one to be in the company of his grandparents because due to the pandemic they are again a bit homely and don't go out much. So, we went to their house with the chocolate cake; the other was a parchita cake to share with the friends with whom he spends every day. Those same friends arrived at the house very early before we left to surprise him and congratulate him. They really surprised him, at night he played with them. The truth is that Miguel's thoughts were about his two cakes, but in reality he knew that they had made only one, because when he arrived at his grandparents' house he was surprised with the chocolate cake, besides a nice sweatshirt that they gave him as a gift.

It is worth mentioning that days before I had given him a cell phone as a gift to celebrate his birthday, besides the fact that he had successfully passed his fourth year of high school. As many know, in our celebrations we traditionally make the popular sancocho or soup, but this time Miguel made a specific request. He wanted a rice with chicken, adding smoked sausage and pepperoni, just imagine what he wanted. But as his wishes are our orders, that is what his mom and I prepared for him.

It was his day, and we had to please him; we chopped the ingredients and got down to work, because in the end everything turned out spectacular, we served it and let's eat. On the other hand it is inevitable to mention our mother #hive because nothing would be possible without her blessings, and this will never be repetitive to say it, because the one who knows how to be grateful will always have in his heart the same kindness and blessing he receives. Hive will be stronger, if we all learn to appreciate what she gives us.

Luego de esa gran comida tuvimos que esperar un buen rato para cantar el primer cumpleaños, y verán más adelante el por qué de esto. Al pasar el tiempo llegó el momento de cantarle el cumpleaños feliz a Miguel, a veces no podrá notarse emocionado, pero si les digo que ese día lo estaba. Algo que se me viene a la mente como anécdota, fue que el día 10 en la noche junto con su hermana estábamos viendo una película de terror, al terminar la película aún no era la media noche, es decir, aún no era el día 11. Bueno, la mayoría se fue a acostar pero al pasar unos minutos después de las doce, Miguel le toca la puerta a su hermana, Nancy dice ¿quién es? y Miguel no responde, vuelve a tocar y ya Nancy estaba asustada porque en la película ocurrió lo mismo, Miguel tocó cómo 4 veces. En una de esta Miguel abrió la puerta violentamente pegándole un tremendo susto a la hermana que de broma lo mata por asustarla, no quedó más remedio que reírnos y Miguel salir corriendo, que más podríamos hacer.

Jajajaja, seguimos, terminamos en la casa de los abuelos y tocaba regresar para que Miguel continuara la celebración con sus amigos, ya estando donde sus abuelos estaba impaciente porque se hacía tarde, sabíamos que quería compartir con sus amigos. Ya ellos estaban esperando fuera de la casa, entraron y compartieron un momento hasta que llegó la hora de cantar el segundo cumpleaños, hasta los perros que estaban en la casa le hicieron el honor de cantarle jajajaja. Something that comes to my mind as an anecdote, was that on the 10th at night together with his sister we were watching a horror movie, at the end of the movie it was not yet midnight, that is, it was not yet the 11th. Well, most went to bed but a few minutes after twelve, Miguel knocked on his sister's door, Nancy said who is it? and Miguel did not answer, he knocked again and Nancy was already scared because the same thing happened in the movie, Miguel knocked about 4 times. In one of them Miguel opened the door violently, scaring her sister so much that she jokingly kills him for scaring her, we had no choice but to laugh and Miguel ran away, what else could we do.

Hahahaha, we continued, we ended up at the grandparents' house and it was time to go back so Miguel could continue the celebration with his friends, being already at his grandparents he was impatient because it was getting late, we knew he wanted to share with his friends. They were already waiting outside the house, they came in and shared a moment until it was time to sing the second birthday, even the dogs that were in the house did him the honor of singing to him hahahaha. All the experiences of his birthday songs can be enjoyed in this simple, short, but touching #video. Moments that we as parents will keep forever in our minds and hearts. Un gusto compartir este momento con todos ustedes, porque saben que celebrar la vida de un hijo es un momento que no tiene precio, verlos felices y logrando sus metas nos llenan de satisfacción porque nos hacen saber que vamos por el camino correcto, no hay manual para ser padres, pero las circunstancias son la guía para adquirir experiencias y escribir nuestras propias líneas. Amen a sus hijos que eso es lo más grande que tenemos; y que mejor herencia que dejarlos como hombres y mujeres que puedan afrontar las dificultades sin importar la magnitud de ellas. A todos un abrazo gigante, se les aprecia.

It is a pleasure to share this moment with all of you, because you know that celebrating the life of a child is a priceless moment, to see them happy and achieving their goals fills us with satisfaction because it lets us know that we are on the right path, there is no manual for being parents, but circumstances are the guide to acquire experiences and write our own lines. Love your children, that is the greatest thing we have; and what better inheritance than to leave them as men and women who can face difficulties no matter the magnitude of them.
