Skyrim Ep 7 - Taking Serana Home

And I would walk five hundred miles...

Hooooo boy. So, in today's episode we take the long-ass treck back to Serana's ancient home. It's a journey worthy of song, and, per usual we walk there because horses are bullshit and so is fast travel.

Yeah, I went there. Fight me.

As part of this walk, we find a new - more applicable - shrine! So we drop the old wayshrine buff we'd been lugging around since the start of the game and pick it up. We were rocking The Warrior, but switch to The Lord for some improved resistance to both magic and physical damage.

We also find a shrine of Mehrunes Dagon that we grab the fast-travel option for, as it's relevant to a quest later if I recall correctly.

We make a pit-stop at Myrwatch to drop off everything in our inventory that we've been lugging from place to place, which finally - FINALLY - solves the weight issues (at least for now)!

We also make a pit stop at the Shrine of Meridia, and she gives us a quest to fetch her Gem and a promise to get another quest after. I seem to remember this being a vampire purge, but it's been many years so I could be wrong. We'll go back for that later, eventually.

Finally, we make it to the boat that takes us to Serana's home just as we end the session. Next episode, we'll be completing the actual quest of taking her home, which I'm sure will be all kinds of weird given my decision to join the Dawnguard.
