Cuándo Paul Morphy decide emprender su viaje por el mundo para mostrar su talento con el ajedrez corría el año de 1840, su recorrido por Estados Unidos dejó grandes partidas a lo largo de la historia, desde el club de ajedrez más avanzados de la época hasta grande iconos de este deporte fueron aplastados por su intelecto y táctica. Tristemente esto causó en él problemas mentales y dejó una gran enseñanza para todos aquellos que seguimos este deporte bien sea aficionado o de manera profesional y organizada, en cierta ocasión dijo que quiénes juegan este deporte de manera organizada son los que realmente se dan cuenta que tan solo puede llegar a estar un jugador de este deporte. Porque los consume tanto la idea de crear nueva táctica o sacrificio que pierden mucho tiempo de su vida analizando y pensando en las 64 casillas que trae el tablero. Pero esto no deja de ser una gran huella para la historia del deporte y del mundo entero.
