En la jerga del ajedrez se le dice "jugador de café" a aquel jugador que carece de análisis profundos, técnicas complejas y una proyección de jugadas muy avanzadas lo más parecido a este jugador de la alta élite de los años 1899 era nuestro protagonista de hoy Frank Marshall quien era un especialista en trampas y celadas, se encargaba de arreglar posiciones exactamente a su voluntad y luego volcaba unas combinaciones bellas que muchas veces llegó a dejar atónitos a los presentes de hecho es dueño de la inmortal partida "Las monedas de oro" pero eso es tema de otro vídeo, hoy les mostraré la primera combinación que lo inmortalizó entre los grandes de este deporte ciencia.

Se enfrentó en la 4 ronda contra un compatriota estadounidense llamado Jackson Showalter quien estaba a cargo de las piezas blancas un jugador lleno de táctica pura pero la forma de jugar de Marshall con piezas negras era algo nuevo que enfrentar.

En esta posición Jackson acaba de habilitar la casilla g2 como una especie de garita para resguardar su Rey en caso de posibles jaques al descubierto por parte de Marshall además también desbloquea la casilla h2 para que su Torre pueda defender esa segunda linea horizontal pero, créanme que eso no bastaría para el ocurrente Marshall.

Curiosamente es uno de los jugadores de ajedrez con los que más me identifico por su manera de jugar y su habilidad para las celadas.
