Esta partida la jugué en chess yo llevaba piezas negras y quiero ejemplificar la teoría de los sacrificios de piezas en una partida de ajedrez. se conoce como sacrificio al lance que consiste en entregar una pieza a cambio de otra ventaja. Normalmente el sacrificio inicia una combinación en la que al final de la cual se da mate, se gana una pieza o, al menos, se recupera la pieza sacrificada. No obstante, existen sacrificios puramente posicionales, es decir se sacrifica una pieza por poner nuestras piezas en las mejores casillas del tablero.

en apenas la jugada 14 decido jugando con blancas sacrificar mi Alfil en b7 con la idea principal de atraer al Rey negro puesto que de capturar las negras con su Dama la perderían en la siguiente jugada.

on just move 14 I decide playing with white to sacrifice my Bishop on b7 with the main idea of attracting the black King since if black captures with his Queen he would lose it in the next move.

Normalmente el sacrificio inicia una combinación que puede acabar en mate, la ganancia de una pieza o al menos la recuperación de la pieza sacrificada. No obstante, existen sacrificios puramente posicionales, es decir, se sacrifica una pieza por poner nuestras piezas en las mejores casillas del tablero. Estos sacrificios implican un conocimiento profundo de la posición resultante y sus ventajas.

El haber sacrificado ese Alfil desarrolló una red de jaque mate de la cual el negro no pudo salir.

Cualquier pieza de ajedrez, excepto el rey, se puede sacrificar. Como los jugadores normalmente intentan mantener sus propias piezas, ofrecer un sacrificio puede ser una sorpresa desagradable para el contrario, poniéndole en dudas y haciéndole gastar mucho tiempo intentando calcular si el sacrificio es válido o no para aceptarlo.
