Imagine the following scenario, you are standing on the shore of a large frozen lake, you must reach the other end to save your life, before taking any step, you must keep in mind that every step you take must take into account that the ice just there is strong enough to support your weight, and this principle must be present in every step you take to get to the other end and finally rest easy in the idea that you could get out safely.

This same situation applies to the chess board with 64 squares between black and white, there are 16 pieces for each player and each piece will move to the square that we order it to move. However, as in the example of the lake, some squares are weak and cannot withstand any attack, which after the middle game means that the king will be totally exposed to sink because of a combined attack of pieces. Obviously there is no sign that tells you "this square is weak", therefore, you must have the necessary discernment to be able to see which are those small weak ice layers to be able to take advantage and coordinate your attack against them, the more in your favor the situation will be if the king is on the weak flank of the board

As we can see in the image, although it may not seem so, all those squares that are marked as weak have the obligation to protect the king, however, a combined attack with all your pieces can be enough to finish with all that fortress in a matter of a few moves. I explain much more in this video where I used a game of mine, as I say at the beginning of this brief description there is nothing to warn you what those weak squares are, it is your job to analyze in depth what they are and how you should use them to your advantage, we must also take into account that we can not afford to create weaknesses like those of my opponent in this game because my king was much more protected than his and a fortress that although it was pawns was almost impenetrable, the image used in this description is part of the game and was taken during the editing of the audiovisual material. Thank you very much for your visit, greetings.
