En los años 1900 aparte de los sombreros de copa, el ajedrez también tuvo gran movimiento en la sociedad, hoy nos trasladamos a 1923 específicamente al Torneo internacional de Maestros en Copenhague donde se enfrentaba el señor Fritz Saemisch un jugador muy fuerte para su época tristemente no destacó tanto como Lasker o Capablanca a estos dos se les suma nuestro protagonista de hoy, Aron Nimzowitsch quien revolucionó tanto el ajedrez que hoy se enseña a base de sus conocimientos brindados a este deporte ciencia.

Apertura poco usada./ Opening little used.

Saemisch con piezas blancas y Nimzowitsch con piezas negras. A principio parece un Gambito Budapest, pero luego por transposición se llega a una variante de la apertura española y a esto se le suman algunas desviaciones que se hacen convirtiéndola en una apertura Catalana definitivamente pero, debo decir que es una apertura que poco se usa.

Saemisch with white pieces and Nimzowitsch with black pieces. At first it looks like a Budapest Gambit, but then by transposition it becomes a variant of the Spanish opening and to this is added some deviations that are made turning it into a Catalan opening definitely but, I must say that it is an opening that is rarely used.

No hago menos a Saemisch ya que como digo en un principio fue un jugador muy rudo en el tablero, pero vean esta posición.

I do not make less of Saemisch since as I say in the beginning he was a very tough player on the board, but look at this position.

Nimzowitsch solo hizo un movimiento con su Dama y fue llevarla de d8 su posición inicial hasta d7 y aparentemente está protegiendo a su Alfil en c6 pero en realidad el verdadero plan es apuntar vía rayos x al enroque enemigo, tristemente Saemisch cuando se da cuenta de esto ya es demasiado tarde puesto a que ya tenía todo un ataque sobr su enroque como pueden ver en la siguiente posición.

Nimzowitsch only made one move with his Queen and that was to take it from d8 his initial position to d7 and apparently he is protecting his Bishop on c6 but in reality the real plan is to aim via x-rays at the enemy castling, sadly Saemisch when he realizes this is already too late since he already had a whole attack on his castling as you can see in the following position.
