Greetings my friends from the Hive community, especially my dear friends from the Hive Open Mic, this week 170 with you again @nellynohemi, wishing you a week of success and blessings for all, the theme that summons us is "Cocoa" selected by the outstanding artist and leader of this family our dear @cabelindsay, for today I will present a traditional song from our Venezuelan coasts entitled "We are Children of Cocoa" performed by Aurita Urribarrí, I hope you like it.

Cocoa is a tree from America and produces a fruit of the same name, where we get the chocolate. Its use dates back to the times of the Mayan, Aztec and Inca Indians and since then it has been used in rituals, for nutritional, medical and even cosmetic purposes.

The song "We are Children of Cocoa" was born as part of a tribute by the artist Aurita Urribarrí to the Latin American Peoples, she is from the State of Táchira and currently resides in Maracaibo, she has 40 years of artistic life, this song is on her album titled "Al Alba" which contains 14 songs where we can find genres such as merengue, waltz and sangueo among others.

Somos los hijos del Cacao is lyrics and music by Atenogenes Urribarrí, I couldn't find the lyrics in any source but I leave a link where is the image of a cocoa and there is the letter.
This song that I bring you today is an Afro-Venezuelan sangueo, focused on the drum rhythm.
