"Atardecer" / "Sunset" | Venezuelan Music Cover

Hola amigos de Hive! 🧡
Hoy quise traerles algo de música de mi país, en este caso, un hermoso vals venezolano de los autores Luis Laguna y Lencho Amaro. Los valses venezolanos tienen bellas melodías y letras con mucha poesía, una poesía, a mi parecer, muy sencilla pero muy dulce y romántica, que suelen ir acompañada por la armonía y el ritmo característico del cuatro para esta forma músical de nuestro folklore.

Today I wanted to bring you some music from my country, in this case, a beautiful Venezuelan waltz by the authors Luis Laguna and Lencho Amaro. Venezuelan waltzes have beautiful melodies and lyrics with a lot of poetry, a poetry, in my opinion, very simple but very sweet and romantic, which are usually accompanied by the harmony and the characteristic rhythm of the cuatro for this musical form of our folklore.

Este tema en particular lo conocí hace algunos años cuando cantaba en la coral de mi facultad, y me enamoré de aquel arreglo coral. Luego lo escuché en la mágica voz de Fabiola José, icónica cantante estudiosa y contribuyente de la tradición folclórica venezolana, y me maravilló aún más al haberlo escucharlo de las dos maneras. En su versión está basado mi cover.

I first heard this particular song a few years ago when I sang in my college choir, and I fell in love with that choral arrangement. Then I heard it in the magical voice of Fabiola José, an iconic singer, scholar and contributor to the Venezuelan folkloric tradition, and I was even more amazed to have heard it both ways. My cover is based on her version.
