This year has come with a lot of strength in terms of cinematic proposals and there is still a lot to see. On this occasion we ventured to our usual movie theater to see "The Super Mario Bros. Movie", needless to say that expectations were quite high since the reviews we had seen were all positive. And well, it turns out that indeed watching this movie felt like an adventure, from the beginning to the end it did nothing but give us a visual spectacle that kept us pleasantly entertained.

Something that caught our attention were the many references that this movie has to the game, many scenes, dynamics and the soundtrack moved us to some of the video game titles that gave us so much in the 80s, 90s and even continues to give us today.

Este año ha venido con mucha fuerza respecto a las propuestas cinematográficas y todavía es que queda por ver. En esta ocasión nos aventuramos a nuestro cine de costumbre a ver “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, demás está decir que las expectativas estaban bastante altas ya que las críticas que habíamos visto eran todas positivas. Y bueno, resulta que efectivamente ver esta película se sintió como una aventura, desde que inició hasta que terminó no hizo sino darnos un espectáculo visual que nos mantuvo gratamente entretenidos.

Algo que nos llamó mucho la atención fueron las tantas referencias que tiene esta película del juego, muchas escenas, dinámicas y la banda sonora nos trasladaba a alguno de los títulos de video juegos que tanto nos dieron en los años 80, 90 y que incluso nos sigue dando en la actualidad.

We saw this movie in Spanish due to scheduling issues and that was something we regretted, not because the Spanish version was bad, but because the great staff of actors who gave life to the English voices of the main characters was exemplary, I think we don't have to mention them since you probably know it, totally deluxe.

We want to make a special mention to the song that surely you have already heard since it has gone viral, and is that "Peaches", performed by Jack Black stole our hearts, see this evil turtle (Bowser) giving it all in front of his piano with a heartbreaking emotion and declaring his admiration and love for the princess is one of the best things you will see this year.

Se agradece que hayan mantenido la esencia del juego y que no nos causaran un impacto negativo con cambios e invenciones que quizá no iban a estar en consonancia con la historia o con el universo tal y como lo conocemos, cosa que si hemos visto en otras adaptaciones y que la verdad ha dejado mucho que desear.

Esta película la vimos en idioma español por temas de horarios y eso fue algo que lamentamos, no porque la versión en español estuviera mal, sino por el gran staff de actores que dieron vida a las voces en inglés de los personajes principales era ejemplar, creo que no tenemos que mencionarlos ya que seguramente lo sabes, totalmente de lujo.

Queremos hacer una mención especial a la canción que seguramente ya has escuchado ya que se ha hecho viral, y es que “Peaches”, interpretada por Jack Black se robó nuestros corazones, ver a esta malvada tortuga (Bowser) dándolo todo frente a su piano con una emoción desgarradora y declarando su admiración y amor por la princesa es de las mejores cosas que verás este año.

Tal y como mencionamos en el video, nos quedamos con una película mágica, divertida, sin ningún tipo de desperdicio y que prevalecerá en el tiempo como una de las mejores adaptaciones de video juegos a película o serie que jamás hayamos visto, podrás cree que es una película para niños y en realidad en gran parte es así, pero nuestra impresión es que los adultos conocemos y sabemos más de este universo que cualquier niño de la actualidad. ¡No dejes de verla!
