This is the wonderful Cata Bay

Last Tuesday we had the opportunity to fulfill a small dream we had when we were out of our country. That dream was to return to the beautiful Cata Bay, one of the many beaches located on the coast of Aragua State, Venezuela. Early in the morning we took our van and ventured through the mountain and its dangerous curves until we reached the destination we longed for so much.

It was the first time I drove across that road. I have always been my dad's co-driver, my brothers' co-driver and dozens of times I have been on public transportation, but this time it was my time to take control and take my family along with me. As I said, this trip was last Tuesday and I think it was a perfect day as there was absolutely no traffic, so my brother-in-law and I were able to drive with some peace of mind despite the bad road conditions.

So at about 7:45 am we were already in front of this wonderful natural spectacle ready to take the longed-for bath. The water was quite warm, which made the first contact easier, since it is usually cold in the morning. After a good swim and to meet again with those waters, I took the camera and went to the pier to start recording the best places of this beach.

From this site, which is built with concrete, you can perfectly appreciate the entire coast, two buildings that strongly call attention, the fishing boats and I also took the opportunity to take pictures of some pelicans that were resting near there.

Below, you will see the spaces where people leave their belongings to take a bath, I tried to take pictures of the places I considered most emblematic and the coconut palms that make it clear that we are in a tropical place.

In the distance you can see a small beach called private Cata, since you have to pay for a boat to get there. For us in particular it was not in our plans to go to that place, maybe another time we will do it.

One of the things that clearly catches the eye at Cata Bay are two buildings of about 18 levels that look out to sea with quite a presence and majesty, I imagine the view from there must be spectacular. We set a goal that the next time we come we will try to stay there.
