Fallout New Vegas - Choices into stories

In the wake of Cyberpunk failing to meet the technical excpetations (plus I can't run it ;_;) I reinstalled Fallout New Vegas. To my surprise I find the game aged nicely, actually I didn't remenber looking this good that's probably due to having a better pc now then 5 years ago when I played.
The graphical prowness wasn't the thing that drawed me in though. It's systems working so well with each other and the atmosphere that ooze from every at first look samey looking areas are one of the best achivement of New Vegas. There are always some mystery or tiny bit of stories in the wastelands that ich my curiosity to explore a little bit further and further.

The sense of freedom flow strong through the sandy deserts and rocky mountains that nudge you in the direction the game want to show by a very gentle and strong invisible hand. Roads that take you directly to the big city of New Vegas are blocked naturally by steep mountains or some very strong foe or other events wich you are not prepared, well if you don't dare to find some exploit to situation wich incentiveze curiosity even more.

Still for how much I love this way of design I think the jagginess of movement and some quality of life that years of expirience have brought to new games are missing here but don't drag the expirience down too much. Walking now in the mountains and through the radioctive desert in 2021 has me wondering what could be a new game from the developer Obsidian entertainement with a walking engine similar to what is in Death Stranding making the travels in beetwen adventures even more interactive.

Anyway I highly reccomend to play this gem even though it requires a bit of time!
