• Holding the line... | Manteniendo la línea...

  Today I let myself be carried away by intuition, my goal, to compose a loop that included chord progressions that I had never played before. After about an hour at the piano, a harmonic sequence emerged that I found nice, I polished it a bit more by adding melodic details and recorded it. Then, I wrote a line for the bass and voicing for the organ. Finally I made a melody to play on the keyboard with a mute trumpet sound (with mute). Everything flowed naturally.

  As I really enjoyed making the previous clip, this week I wanted to follow the same line regarding the video, adding new details. In this installment, the music will no longer be danced by a mysterious silver dancer, this time the protagonists of the image will be the hands, the keyboard, the bright colors, the kinetic and geometric figures.

  Hoy me dejé llevar por la intuición, mi meta, componer un loop que incluyera progresiones de acordes que no hubiera tocado nunca. Después de aproximadamente una hora al piano, surgió una secuencia armónica que me pareció agradable, la pulí un poco más agregando detalles melódicos y la grabé. Luego, compuse una linea para el bajo y los voicing para el órgano. Finalmente hice una melodía para tocarla al teclado con un sonido de trompeta mute (con sordina). Todo fluyo con naturalidad.

  Cómo disfruté mucho hacer el clip anterior, esta semana quise mantener la misma línea en cuanto al vídeo, agregando nuevos detalles. En esta entrega la música ya no será bailada por un misterioso bailarín plateado, esta vez los protagonistas de la imagen serán las manos, el teclado, los colores vivos, el cinetismo y las figuras geométricas.
