Cada fotografía tiene sus secretos de edición, incluso, el resultado puede variar conforme a lo que cada persona desee plasmar. Lo que vemos de cada fotógrafo cuando expone su arte es su huella digital, así que siempre es bueno ver el proceso creativo cuando se post produce una foto.

En esta oportunidad comparto con ustedes el proceso de edición de una imagen que capture en el puerto de Ocumare de La Costa, estado Aragua de Venezuela. En aquella ocasión, regresaba de una jornada de trabajo en La Ciénaga cuando vi a un gripo de pelícanos en el piso, cerca de las embarcaciones.

Una de esas fotos es esta, la cual no resultó con la mejor exposición debido a que estaba por anochecer y el contraluz le restaba detalles al ave. Quiero abrirles la mente de lo que podemos lograr cuando creemos que no podemos recuperar información de una foto y aplicando ciertos criterios damos vida a una imagen.

Each photograph has its own editing secrets, and even the result can vary according to what the person wants to capture. What we see when a photographer exposes his art is his fingerprint, so it is always good to see the creative process when a photo is post-produced.

In this opportunity I share with you the editing process of an image I captured in the port of Ocumare de La Costa, Aragua state of Venezuela. On that occasion, I was returning from a day of work in La Cienaga when I saw a group of pelicans on the ground near the boats.

One of those photos is this one, although it didn't have the best exposure because it was about to get nightfall and the backlighting reduced the bird's details. I want to open your mind to what we can achieve when we believe we can't recover information from a photo and applying certain criteria we give life to an image.
