Editando Mascotas del WhatsApp

Estaba viendo los estados que suben mis amistades a WhatsApp y una foto enseguida llamó mi atención, por lo que enseguida le escribí a mi amiga Joandry para pedirle el permiso para editarla, grabar el proceso y subir el clip a mi blog.

La imagen correspondía a su mascota llamada Semacenta, nombre vinculado a la magenta, cuyo color está asociado a la espiritualidad. Es una gata de pelaje blanco con negro y unos imponentes ojos amarillos.

I was looking at the WhatsApp statuses posted by my friends and a photo immediately caught my attention, so I immediately wrote to my friend Joandry to ask her permission to edit it, record the process and upload the clip to my blog.

The image corresponded to her pet named Semacenta, a name linked to magenta, whose color is associated with spirituality. She is a cat with white and black fur and imposing yellow eyes.

Por la pose del animal y la disposición de los elementos en la escena, además de la expresión de su rostro, sabía que podía lograr una edición buena. Mi amiga me contó que hace dos años rescató a la felina y le dio un hogar, por lo que me identifiqué con la historia y me dispuse a que la foto quedara especialmente bonita.

Así fue. Básicamente lo que hice fue restar la saturación de todos los colores, excepto el amarillo y el verde, a este último le baje el 80% de la intensidad. Me gustaba cómo se veía los detalles del mueble que tenía esa tonalidad.

Because of the animal's pose and the arrangement of the elements in the scene, as well as the expression on her face, I knew I could get a good edit. My friend told me that two years ago she rescued this feline and gave her a home, so I identified with the story and set out to make the photo look especially nice.

And so it was. Basically what I did was to subtract the saturation of all the colors, except for yellow and green, this last one I lowered 80% of the intensity. I liked the way the details of the furniture that had that tonality looked.

Quise que la imagen contrastara mucho, por lo que el blanco más puro está en el rostro del felino. Al colocar una viñeta y jugar con la escala de grises perdí el brillo de ciertas área, por eso coloqué filtros graduados para renovar la luminosidad de esos espacios.

Espero te guste el resultado tanto como a mi amiga Joandry como a mí.

I wanted the image to contrast a lot, so the purest white is on the feline's face. Putting a vignette and mixing with the grayscale I lost the brightness of certain areas, so I placed graduated filters to renew the brightness of those spaces.
