Sunny Sunday and Skateboarding! [EN/PT]

The heat here in Brazil is intense; according to some studies, this is the hottest year in recent years. With all this heat, I could have gone to a waterfall or even cooled off in the pool. But I decided to return to one of my favorite weekend spots, the UFJF Campus.

Dude, I really like it there because you can practice various sports within its perimeter. I've mentioned in some other posts that you can borrow a bike through an app. It's a cool way to explore the area and get some exercise too.

Well, I took the opportunity to do a little skateboarding. There are some great spots to skate around there, and the ground is pretty smooth, so I'm not afraid of getting my skateboard wheel caught in any gaps or holes. In this video, I explored a bit more of the UFJF campus and showed a bit more about the place. For those who like to practice riskier maneuvers or explore the structures of the place, today you'll be able to see a bit more of what the place has to offer.

Ah! Somewhere on the UFJF campus, there's also a skate park with ramps and rails, but this time I didn't go there because it was too hot with not much shade. But that's for another opportunity!

I'm really enjoying skateboarding again, although I'm still quite rusty. I remember I used to skate a lot when I was about 19; I made friends with some guys who were always skating, and that was when I skated the most. I could do some tricks, go down some ramps, and was always trying something different. But after a while, I didn't have as much contact with those friends, and gradually I stopped skating.

I'm not sure if I can do what I used to do now; not that I was a great skater back then, but gradually my confidence in skating is coming back. Maybe if I make friends with some guys here in my city, the process will be even easier. Maybe it's time to start going to skate parks again, but first, I need a more appropriate skateboard.

Domingo de sol e skate!

O calor aqui no Brasil está intenso; segundo alguns estudos, este é o ano mais quente dos últimos anos. Com todo esse calor, eu poderia ter ido para alguma cachoeira ou mesmo me refrescar na piscina. Mas decidi voltar para um dos meus lugares favoritos nos fins de semana, o Campus da UFJF.

Cara, eu gosto muito de lá, pois dá para praticar vários esportes em seu perímetro. Já mencionei em algum outro post que é possível pegar uma bike emprestada através de um aplicativo. Essa é uma maneira bem legal de passear pelo lugar e se exercitar também.

Bem, eu aproveitei para andar um pouco de skate. Por lá, existem uns lugares ótimos para andar, e o chão é bem regular, o que não me deixa com medo de agarrar a roda do skate em alguma fresta ou buraco. Nesse vídeo, eu explorei um pouco mais o perímetro da UFJF e mostrei um pouco mais sobre esse lugar. Para quem gosta de praticar manobras mais arriscadas ou explorar as estruturas do lugar, hoje vai conseguir ver um pouco mais do que o lugar oferece.

Ah! Em algum canto da UFJF, também existe uma pista de skate com rampas e corrimãos, mas dessa vez eu não fui para esses lados, já que lá o calor estava intenso por não possuir muitas sombras. Mas fica para uma próxima oportunidade!

Estou gostando bastante de andar de skate de novo, ainda estou bem enferrujado. Lembro-me de que andava muito quando eu tinha uns 19 anos; fiz amizade com uns caras que sempre andavam, e foi nessa época que eu mais andei de skate. Eu sabia fazer algumas manobras, descia de algumas rampas e estava sempre tentando algo diferente. Mas depois de um tempo, acabei não tendo tanto contato com esses amigos e aos poucos fui parando de andar.

Não sei se agora consigo fazer o que fazia antes; não que eu fosse, naquela época, um ótimo skatista, mas aos poucos minha confiança em andar está voltando. Talvez se eu fizer amizade com alguns caras aqui da minha cidade, o processo fique ainda mais fácil. Talvez seja a hora de frequentar as pistas de skate, mas antes preciso de um skate mais apropriado.
