Google Ngram Viewer Overview

Several years ago I learned about Google's amazing Ngram Viewer which graphs out the usage of any ngram in a giant database of published books and papers which Google has stored. This calculator is pretty amazing and can help see the trend of different phrases throughout history. You can also use some advanced search codes to provide complex or more specific analysis. Ngrams are basically a sequence of n items that form a given sequence of text or speech. The items can be letters, words, syllables, etc. For example "washroom" is a unigram or a 1gram and "changing room" is a bigram or a 2gram.
