Growing up, I remember snow white a Disney animation about a girl in the woods whom would sing and was one with nature. Her song would call out the birds and animals of the forest who would come out and see her. They would sing and dance together.
Unfortunately an evil witch presented her with an apple which plunged her into a dormant state.
Fortunately, our story doesn't include that aspect of snow white. Just the called out of the animals more specifically the black swans.
I've previously written about the importance of these wet lands during lockdown to Lil miss 3 and I, it was our daily escape from the world. A world plunged into lockdown due to a pandemic.
Our daily rides and stops throughout the wet lands allowed us to witness the laying, hatching and maturing of many of the native birds that reside in these wet lands.
Everyday lil miss 3 would disembark the bike and approach the shore line. (It was a challenge getting her not to jump in)
At times we would feed the birds, including fish that we had bought from the fish monger for the Pelicans.
But what has occurred now is that all the birds along the wetlands recognise and know my daughter.
Like clockwork, when she approaches the bank of the wet lands all the birds approach her.
On yesterday's bike ride I decided to record this beautiful experience and share it with you all.
So please enjoy our 3 minutes of bliss as lil miss 3 calls out mother nature.
