Missed The Live Band

So, over the weekend, on Friday to be precise, I got a call from a friend. He asked if we could hang out or probably spend the whole day together since he was going to be free, and I was also going to be free that day.

Basically, it was a free day for the both of us. If I had known that the engagement this week would be related, or if I had seen it earlier, I would have taken more pictures of my day. Especially when we stopped by at a lounge where a popular local live band was to play.

Okay, so my friend had taken a day off from work that day, as he had always complained of being stressed by his boss lately. I had advised him to ask for his leave but he kept postponing it not until Friday. He asked for a day off and surprisingly he was granted by his boss. Of course it wasn't the leave I had advised him to take, but it was still worth it as he got the time to rest.

I, on the other hand, had a free day from school after a hectic week of long lectures and tests. So, when I got a call from him I didn't hesitate. I took a cold shower and headed to his house.

It was a regular boys day out, from relaxing at his house in the morning, to trying out a new recipe for cooking at his house, then to trying out a new barber since my barber wasn't in town.

Then in the evening we crowned our day with a night out at a local lounge where my friend had found a new love with the board game (snooker). According to him, on days he needed to unwind, he'd just walk into the lounge and play. Fortunately for us that evening, there was going to be a popular local live band playing.

To be honest, in all my stay in my state of residence, I never knew that a lounge as such existed.

Located in a calm and serene environment, where you get to experience nature while you chill. And the good thing about this place is that your orders are prepared fresh at their open kitchen.

The aroma from their kitchen fed my nose good meals. 😂 Since I was full from meals we had at home earlier, I didn't bother eating too much, just some bottles of beer and a plate of peppered meat.

While there, I fell in love with the snooker game. Not that I wasn't familiar with the game but I had no interest in it. But as I watched my friend compete with others I fell in love with the game. I noticed it's a game that needed so much concentration, thinking and sportsmanship.

Unfortunately for us that day, the live band was taking a long time to show up after hours of waiting. And when they did show up I was already getting tired and so I had to leave just before they started.

I wish I had stayed back, it's been a long time since I heard undiluted music from a band.
