    Greetings Friends Hivers

It is a pleasure to greet you and to be again in Hive Open Mic, week #135, with this interesting theme as it is the struggle against oppression.

This week's theme has touched me deeply and personally, because I am Venezuelan, my country has more than 20 years under a dictatorial regime that has kept us oppressed in many aspects and on the other hand because my heart will always cry out against the oppression that is lived in different parts of the world.

On this occasion, I chose the song entitled "Grito de Guerra", performed by the talented Mexican singer Carlos Rivera and whose lyrics I have felt identified with since the first day I heard it after its release.

Undoubtedly, it is an emotional song that goes straight to the heart. Carlos Rivera put in words and voice all the feelings, states and emotions that people who suffer go through. The song is dedicated to the oppressed, to the forgotten dreamers, to those who fight a war without wanting to, because there is no other option.

My heart unites with this song in a special way to give its War Cry once again against the oppression in my beloved Venezuela and in all the places in the world where such a nefarious reality exists.

The tone of the track I used is a little low, but I made the effort to be able to present this work and say present in this theme. I hope you like it and as always I send you a big hug!

    Letra

    Lyrics

The bitter words, the forgotten silences
The lies they told, for stealing a few pieces
How much earth they raised, to show us their greatness
What they really achieved, was to give us sadness
And so much sorrow they give, they won't see us cry anymore
How much is what you are worth, how much is what you're left worth
They've already taken everything from us, but they won't be able to take away
The hope that one day, everything has to change
I cry out from my heart, who do those cowards think they are
Who dare to command, if they don't know how much it's worth
To get up in the morning to go to work
A kiss goodbye, a candle to blow out
To make a couple of wishes, that maybe you'll see come true
What will they know about being happy, if they don't know how to smile
They've already taken everything from us, but they won't be able to take away
The hope that one day, everything has to change
That they dare to look us in the eyes
That they dare to lock us in with a bolt
We have already waited so long and we must not despair
Because everything that goes up, someday has to come down.
That they dare to think that they are eternal
They haven't realized, that they are sick
That here we will all be ready, to contemplate
The fall of your story and the road to your end
    The road to their end
That they dare to think that they are eternal
They have not realized, that they are ill
And that here we will all be ready to contemplate
The fall of your history, only the memory of the pity you give remains
And the road to your end, the road to your end
    The road to their end
