    Hola comunidad, hoy vengo con algo sencillo, ligero y saludable para compartir con los #Foodies de Hive, se trata de una ensalada de *Couve-manteiga*, una hortaliza que conocí aquí en Brasil y aprendí los beneficios de consumirla.

    El Couve-manteiga es un vegetal poderoso y repleto de nutrientes, como hierro, calcio, fibras y proteínas. Sus hojas verdes son ricas en vitaminas y minerales que mejoran considerablemente el funcionamiento del nuestro organismo. Fuente

    Según algunas fuentes de información, el couve-manteiga pertenece a una gran familia de hortalizas de hojas como el brócoli, la coliflor, el repollo y muchas más que son muy conocidos por su excelente valor nutricional.

    Aquí en Brasil se consigue con mucha facilidad, es bastante económico y los incluyen en gran variedad de recetas, siempre lo consigo en el supermercado y decidí investigar sobre este vegetal, al ver sus múltiples beneficios y primos famosos decidí comprar un manojo de Couve-manteiga y guiándome por la recomendación de una amiga la prepare en una sencilla pero nutritiva ensalada que les comparto a continuación.

    Ingredientes:

    3 hojas de Couve-manteiga
    1 zanahoria
    2 tomates
    ½ Cebolla
    Aderezo a gusto

    Preparación:
    • Lavar muy bien todos los vegetales por que se consumirán crudos.
    • Cortar en cuadros pequeños los tomates y la cebolla, pelar y rallar la zanahoria. Reservamos.
    • Las hojas de Couve deben estar muy bien lavadas, se desinfectan fácilmente con unas gotas de vinagre en agua y allí se dejan unos minutos. Luego las enrollamos, como se ve en la foto y se cortan en tiras delgadas.
    • Unimos todos los ingredientes y aderezamos a gusto, recomiendo hacer una vinagreta con sal, aceite de oliva y vinagre. Pero pueden usar el aderezo de preferencia, por ejemplo, mi esposo le agrego un poquito de mayonesa a su porción y le encanto.

    Bueno amigos esta es mi receta, sencilla e ideal para comenzar el mes de una manera saludable, cuidar nuestra salud y bienestar. Si consiguen en el mercado esta hortaliza se las recomiendo, es muy sabrosa y saludable.

    According to some sources of information, couve-manteiga belongs to a large family of leafy vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and many more that are well known for their excellent nutritional value.

    Here in Brazil it is easily available, it is quite economical and they include it in a great variety of recipes, I always get it in the supermarket and I decided to investigate about this vegetable, when I saw its multiple benefits and famous cousins I decided to buy a bunch of Couve-manteiga and guided by the recommendation of a friend I prepared it in a simple but nutritious salad that I share with you below.

    Ingredients:

    3 leaves of Couve-manteiga
    1 carrot
    2 tomatoes
    ½ Onion
    Dressing at ease

    Preparation:
    • Wash all the vegetables very well because they will be consumed raw.
    • Cut the tomatoes and the onion in small squares, peel and grate the carrot. Set aside.
    • The Couve leaves should be very well washed, easily disinfected with a few drops of vinegar in water and left there for a few minutes. Then we roll them up, as shown in the photo and cut them into thin strips.
    • We put all the ingredients together and dress them to taste. I recommend making a vinaigrette with salt, olive oil and vinegar. But you can use the dressing of preference, for example, my husband added a little bit of mayonnaise to his portion and he loved it.

    Well friends this is my recipe, simple and ideal to start the month in a healthy way, take care of our health and well being. If you can find this vegetable in the market I recommend it, it is very tasty and healthy.
