paredes descoloridas
algunos pasos cansados
algunas casas vacías
solo recuerdos vagaban
con la mirada perdida.
Aquella cúpula hueca
tan gigante y tan vacía
susurraba "hubo una guerra"
que yo apenas entendía
pero mis ojos grabaron
lo que ella me decía.
De lejos yo la observaba
como hacía la mayoría
y en silencio me marchaba
a tomar algún tranvía
dejando su sombra intacta
llena de melancolía.
Y regresaba al Berlín
que un nuevo traje lucía
y celebraba orgulloso
por las calles y avenidas
haber guardado su historia
estrenando nueva vida.

Next I will present the poem by @helyorsini titled That Berlin
In the Berlin of my childhood
the "old city", gloomy
opened its gates before me
crumbling down, corroded
by a near past
anxious for remoteness.
Its streets still silent
faded walls
some tired steps
some empty houses
only memories wandered
with a lost look.
That hollow dome
so giant and so empty
whispered "there was a war"
that I barely understood
but my eyes recorded
what she was telling me.
From afar I watched her
as most people did
and in silence I would leave
to take a streetcar
leaving her shadow intact
full of melancholy.
And I would return to Berlin
that a new suit of clothes
and celebrated proudly
in the streets and avenues
having saved its history
and a new life was born.
If you liked my initiative let me know in the comments, and I hope to be able to musicalize another poem, thank you very much for your attention.
