Hello friends of HIVE, especially those of the PukuMundo community, in which I am participating for the first time, specifically in their LA VOZ QUE CANTA contest, with my song Guacamayas de Caracas.

La escribí en 2020 para el disco ANIMALIENS de mi proyecto musical Tar Majenye, el cual pueden oir en Spotify, Itunes y todas las demás plataformas de streaming. Lo grabé todo yo solo en mi closet con una guitarra, un teclado eléctrico y mi harmónica.

I wrote it in 2020 for my ANIMALIENS album. Tar Majenye musical project, which you can listen to on Spotify, Itunes and all streaming platforms. I recorded it all by myself in my closet with a guitar, an electric keyboard and my harmonica.

Por lo general interpreto esta canción usando una máscara de guacamaya hecha con papel maché, pero como ésta tiene verde, no la pude usar para cantar utilizando mi tela verde de fondo, ya que el efecto Chroma Key haría la máscara transparente.

I usually perform this song wearing a paper mache macaw mask, but since this one has green on it, I couldn't use it to sing having my green fabric as the background, because the Chroma Key effect would make the mask transparent.

La letra habla sobre las personas que alimentan a las guacamayas con comida que les hacen daño, de la lucha entre las guacamayas rojas originarias de Caracas y las azules, las cuales fueron introducidas por el hombre y han desplazado a las rojas. El video original de 2020 que les dejo abajo ilustra muy bien la letra y tiene animaciones que hice con paint y movie maker.

The lyrics talk about the people who feed the macaws with food that harms them, about the fight between the red macaws, originally from Caracas, and the blue ones, which were introduced by man and have displaced the red ones. The original video from 2020 that I leave below, illustrates the lyrics very well and has animations I made with paint and movie maker.

Como visuales de fondo utilicé escenas del documental Parrort Confidential el cual habla de Loros, Guacamayas y Cacatúas de todo el mundo y lo complicado que resulta tenerlas en cautiverio, ya que por lo general viven más tiempo que sus dueños y pocas personas aguantan los fuertes ruidos que emiten. As background visuals, I used scenes from the documentary Parrot Confidential which talks about Parrots, Macaws and Cockatoos from all over the world and how complicated it is to keep them in captivity, since they generally live longer than their owners and few people can stand loud noises that they emit.
