Greetings movie and TV series lovers! Today, I'm glad to be back to tell you about "Griselda", the new Netflix series that debuted on January 25. The series has caused a sensation in Venezuela and, after watching it, I understand why. It's not only about the story of drug traffickers based on true events, but also about the authentic personal connection of Sofia Vergara, the star and producer, to the plot, having lost a brother to drug trafficking.

¡Saludos a los amantes del cine y las series de TV! Hoy, me alegra estar de vuelta para hablarles sobre "Griselda", la nueva serie de Netflix que debutó el 25 de enero. La serie ha causado sensación en Venezuela y, después de verla, entiendo por qué. No solo se trata de la historia de narcotraficantes basada en hechos reales, sino también de la auténtica conexión personal de Sofía Vergara, la estrella y productora, con la trama, habiendo perdido a un hermano por el narcotráfico.

I won't dwell too much on the written part, as I consider my opinion to be quite complete in the video. However, I do want to comment on certain things that I did not mention in the recording. One of the things I loved is that "Griselda" is very well done aesthetically. The 70's setting was carefully executed, and the lighting captures the essence of the era. Also, despite being a series that theoretically should show a lot of crudeness in terms of deaths, it goes above and beyond. That's not to say it's not intense, but I think the main purpose is to convey a woman's struggle to gain power in a male-dominated arena.

No me extenderé mucho en la parte escrita, ya que considero que mi opinión está bastante completa en el video. Sin embargo, quiero comentarles ciertas cosas que no mencioné en la grabación. Una de las cosas que me encantó es que "Griselda" está muy bien lograda estéticamente. La ambientación en los años 70 fue cuidadosamente ejecutada, y la iluminación captura la esencia de la época. Además, a pesar de ser una serie que teóricamente debería mostrar mucha crudeza en cuanto a las muertes, va más allá. No significa que no sea intensa, pero creo que el propósito principal es transmitir la lucha de una mujer por ganar poder en un terreno dominado por hombres.

On an interesting note, Karol G has a small role in this series, which surprised me and at the same time I was pleased to see her in that facet.
