Greetings to all the music lovers at Hive Open Mic! It is a real pleasure to return to this community after a brief absence and also with a theme that fills me with emotion. On this occasion, I want to immerse us in the majesty of symphonic metal, a fusion that combines the energetic distortion of guitars and powerful percussion with the elegance of classical instruments, thus creating a truly sublime sound experience.

While the song I will share is not typically categorized as symphonic metal, it is impossible not to mention it when exploring the mystical and medieval theme that so characterizes this genre. I am referring to "La Leyenda del Hada y el Mago" (The Legend of the Fairy and the Magician), a jewel of Argentine heavy metal performed by the iconic band Rata Blanca. This track is part of the album "Magos, Espadas y Rosas," released in 1990, and although it does not delve into symphonic metal in its purest form, it shares a passion for mystical and medieval narratives that connects with the hearts of fans of the genre.

The Legend of the Fairy and the Wizard takes us through an emotional love story between a fairy and a wizard, whose union is cut short by dark forces. The magician undertakes a tireless quest to rescue his beloved from the deep slumber in which she is trapped. The song becomes an anthem of hope and desire, conveying the eternal struggle for true love.

En esta ocasión, quiero sumergirnos en la majestuosidad del metal sinfónico, una fusión que combina la enérgica distorsión de las guitarras y la poderosa percusión con la elegancia de los instrumentos clásicos, creando así una experiencia sonora verdaderamente sublime.

Si bien la canción que compartiré no es típicamente catalogada como metal sinfónico, es imposible no mencionarla al explorar la temática mística y medieval que tanto caracteriza a este género. Me refiero a "La Leyenda del Hada y el Mago", una joya del heavy metal argentino interpretada por la icónica banda Rata Blanca. Este tema forma parte del álbum "Magos, Espadas y Rosas," lanzado en 1990, y aunque no se adentra en el metal sinfónico en su forma más pura, comparte una pasión por las narrativas místicas y medievales que conecta con los corazones de los fanáticos del género.
