Lechería, despite being a small beach town on the shores of the Caribbean, has several architectural works that are worth studying. One of them is the tree for living, a very striking building that has always captivated me personally for its picturesque and atypical design.

Lechería, a pesar de ser una ciudad pequeña y playera a orillas del Caribe, cuenta con varias obras arquitectónicas que merecen la pena estudiar. Una de ellas es el árbol para vivir, un edificio bastante llamativo que en lo personal siempre me ha cautivado por su diseño tan pintoresco y atípico.

It is located on the shores of "playa mansa", one of the beaches located in the heart of the city and where you can enjoy the best sunsets in the area, this is a secret that all of us who have made life in Lechería know 😁 I chose to also share this short video so you could better appreciate its location and of course, so you know that I'm not lying when I talk about its sunsets. I would have liked to have better shots of the building, but it is a bit difficult to see it from the outside since its design resembles the branches of a tree and if you don't know someone who lives there, it is very difficult to appreciate it from the inside and its other angles.

Está ubicado a las orillas de "playa mansa", una de las playas ubicadas en el corazón de la ciudad y donde se pueden disfrutar de los mejores atardeceres de la zona, este es un secreto que conocemos todos los que hemos hecho vida en Lechería 😁 Opté por compartirles también este corto video para que pudiesen apreciar mejor su ubicación y por supuesto, para que sepan que no miento cuando hablo de sus atardeceres. Me hubiese gustado tener mejores tomas del edificio, pero es un poco difícil estando desde afuera ya que su diseño se asemeja a las ramas de un árbol y si no conoces a alguien que viva allí, es muy difícil apreciarlo desde adentro y sus otros ángulos.

You may wonder the reason for this work, a question I also asked myself when I moved to the city. The tree to live is made with a bioclimatic architecture design, these are special and specific designs that are made taking into account the climatic conditions of a place to take advantage of resources such as rain, sun, wind, etc. and being very careful with the materials used because one of its approaches is environmental responsibility. In this case, it was designed based on the coastal area and its hot climate with high humidity.

Se preguntarán la razón de esta obra, una pregunta que yo también me hice al mudarme a la ciudad. El árbol para vivir está realizado con un diseño de arquitectura bioclimática, estos son diseños especiales y específicos que se realizan tomando en cuenta las condiciones climáticas de un lugar para aprovechar recursos como lluvia, sol, viento, etc y siendo muy cuidadosos con los materiales utilizados pues uno de sus enfoques es la responsabilidad ambiental. En este caso, se diseñó en base a la zona costeña y su clima caluroso con bastante humedad.

Its construction took 4 years in total (1990-1994) and besides being inspired by the climate of the area and a thought in which urbanism was kind to nature, it was also conceived as a solution to housing problems and although I do not know the exact number of apartments in it, I can mention that it has 6 different types of apartments, some larger than others and also has green areas and a swimming pool.

Su construcción tomó 4 años en total (1990-1994) y además de tener como inspiración el clima de la zona y un pensamiento en el cual el urbanismo fuese amable con la naturaleza, también se ideó como una solución para problemas de vivienda y aunque no sé el número exacto de departamentos que hay en él, puedo mencionar que cuenta con 6 tipos de departamentos diferentes, unos más grandes que otros y también cuenta con áreas verdes y piscina.

Being a lover of architecture, design, art and nature, you know that I would love to live here hahaha waking up every morning by the sea and from the inside of an architectural jewel would be like a dream for me. I have always wanted to meet someone who lives there to show me inside because I am intrigued by the fact that, according to what I have been told, the corridors are interconnected and its design makes it quite cool because the sea breeze manages to go through each space, this was achieved thanks to the bioclimatic architecture that I told you at the beginning. Researching on the web I found that the prices of these apartments range from $30,000, in case someone wants to give me one for my birthday hahaha. By the way, the architect is called "Fruto Vivas" and I have already seen two of his works, soon I will tell you about the second one. Siendo una amante de la arquitectura, del diseño, del arte y de la naturaleza, sabrán que me encantaría vivir aquí jajaja despertar cada mañana a la orilla del mar y desde el interior de una joya arquitectónica sería para mi como un sueño. Siempre he querido conocer a alguien que viva allí para que me muestre su interior ya que me intriga el hecho de que, según me han comentado, los pasillos se interconectan y su diseño hace que sea bastante fresco pues la brisa marina logra recorrer cada espacio, esto se logró gracias a la arquitectura bioclimática que les comenté al inicio. Investigando en la web encontré que los precios de estos departamentos oscilan los $30.000, por si alguien me quiere regalar uno por mi cumpleaños jajaja. Por cierto, el arquitecto se llama "Fruto vivas" y ya he conocido dos de sus obras, pronto les comentaré sobre la segunda.
