[ENG] Uncharted Waters Origin: First Impressions and Starter Guide

Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I'll show you folks the game Uncharted Waters Origin, a MMORPG recently released in Korea and Australia, but since a few weeks ago we, from the rest of the world, can also login on the servers!

The game is currently weird to get into as a western player because there's almost no content in English about it (and literally nothing in Portuguese), so my idea was to show the game and give some really basic newbie tips!

Uncharted Waters is a video game franchise that has existed for more than 30 years around the Age of Discovery, that is, the period of maritime exploration from the 15th to 17th centuries. The most popular games of the franchise are from the SNES and MegaDrive era; but several games continued to be released over the years, including Uncharted Waters Online, the first Uncharted Waters MMORPG that I have played a lot and have even posted about it here on Hive.

Uncharted Waters Origin was developed to update the experience of Uncharted Waters Online, which unfortunately is an old game released almost 18 years ago. The graphics are stunning (it's Unreal Engine, after all); the gameplay is faster and more straightfoward; and the combat now is in turns (while in UW Online it was in real time), making it easier to play through smartphones and tablets.

Nesse vídeo, eu vou mostrar para vocês o Uncharted Waters Origin, um MMORPG recentemente lançado na Coréia e na Austrália, mas que há poucas semanas passou a ser liberado para o restante do mundo! Há pouquíssimo conteúdo em inglês sobre o jogo, e nenhum em português, então minha proposta é mostrar rapidamente como o jogo funciona e algumas dicas iniciais para você que se interessou no game!

Uncharted Waters é uma série de jogos que existe há mais de 30 anos, cuja temática é a Era dos Descobrimentos, ou seja, o período de exploração vaval dos séculos XV à XVII. Os jogos mais famoso da franquia são da época do Super Nintendo e do MegaDrive; mas vários jogos continuaram a ser lançados com o passar dos anos, incluindo o Uncharted Waters Online, o primeiro MMO da franquia que eu já joguei bastante e, inclusive, já fiz postagens sobre ele aqui na Hive.

O Uncharted Waters Origin foi desenvolvido buscando atualizar, para a modernidade, a experiência do Uncharted Waters Online, que foi lançado há quase 18 anos. Os gráficos são lindos, usando a Unreal Engine, o gameplay é mais rápido e direto, e a forma de combate deixou de ser em tempo real e passou a ser em turnos, facilitando jogar por meio de celulares e tablets.
