"Interpol", es una canción de la banda de rock venezolana Caramelos de Cianuro, de su álbum Harakiri City, del año 1996.

Este es su tercer álbum de estudio, y aunque posterior a éste existen muchas otras producciones de la banda, esta es mi preferida. Es un disco que de principio a fin tiene mucha energía, y en comparación con los anteriores está mucho mejor elaborado en cuanto a composiciones musicales y calidad de sonido.

1996 fue un año intermedio en la década dorada del rock venezolano, y a pesar de que existían muchas bandas grabando y produciendo música buena en esos tiempos, nadie se atrevía a hacer este tipo de música como la que expuso Caramelos de Cianuro en este momento.

"Interpol", es la canción acústica del repertorio, por lo tanto no goza de la estridencia de los otros temas, pero es una de mis favoritas. Toca un ambiente de escape, de liberación, de desprenderse de todo lo que ha pasado y dejarlo atrás para enfrentar un nuevo camino, todo esto sin separarse de lo que en realidad amas. Es un tema muy controvertido, pero que tiene un significado para los rockeros de la época, acentuándose en los venezolanos, que nunca pensamos que nuestro grupo de amigos y seres queridos podía separarse por factores económicos y políticos.

Para todos esos ROCKEROS VENEZOLANOS que escuchen este cover, quiero que sepan que desde acá seguimos siendo los mismos, hasta que nos volvamos a ver!

"Interpol", is a song by the Venezuelan rock band Caramelos de Cianuro, from their 1996 album Harakiri City.

This is their third studio album, and although there are many other band productions after it, this is my favorite. It is an album that has a lot of energy from start to finish, and compared to the previous ones it is much better elaborated in terms of musical compositions and sound quality.

1996 was an intermediate year in the golden decade of Venezuelan rock, and despite the fact that there were many bands recording and producing good music in those times, no one dared to make this type of music like the one exhibited by Caramelos de Cianuro in this moment.

"Interpol", is the acoustic song in the repertoire, therefore it doesn't enjoy the stridency of the other songs, but it is one of my favorites. It touches an environment of escape, of liberation, of detaching yourself from everything that has happened and leaving it behind to face a new path, all this without separating from what you really love. It is a highly controversial topic, but it has meaning for the rockers of the time, accentuating it among Venezuelans, who never thought that our group of friends and loved ones could be separated by economic and political factors.
