In the blink of an eye was this year that is about to end, of course I feel nostalgic for all the moments I spent, whether good moments, but also bad moments, I have learned things that I did not know or that I left for understood, but in the end the bad moments passed me a bill, but that bill I paid it with more than enough because I learned from there, and that's how it is, life is like that a constant learning, that was the year 2023.

I feel nostalgia more than a sense of loss, it may seem the same, but it is not, some like me do not face the nostalgia of the year that is ending, while others, including myself, are filled with emotion for the blank page that opens in front of us just when the new year begins at 12 o'clock at night.

I am fully aware that nostalgia invades me when I remember the moments lived during the year that is ending. And I remember those warm hugs, the laughter shared, the accomplishments achieved and the lessons learned. A year that, despite its ups and downs, has left me with countless memories that I will treasure fondly where my daughters and my wife, the people around me, my neighbors and my university were there, and I am sure they will still be there, right by my side.

I have spoken of nostalgia in a fearful way, however, nostalgia does not paralyze me I think, it drives me to look forward with hope and as the saying goes and my grandfather repeated it hope is the last thing to be lost, no one knows the future so this next year represents, thousands of opportunities to start over, in all the things I did wrong and what I learned from that, but above all I have to leave behind what no longer serves me, I know that the new year will be a time of renewal, for my daughters wife and for my family, but above all for me as a person.

As the clock strikes the hour and the radio that can be heard throughout Venezuela plays the song that says five to 12, the year will end, I prepare to receive the new year with open arms. Giving thanks for all the experiences of the year that is ending, and I will welcome the possibilities that the new one brings.

I will be ALWAYS READY, like the Scout motto, always ready and willing to enjoy the rhythm of life, with its joys and sorrows, with its nostalgia and hopes. Because in the end, life is a constant dance, where the past and the future meet in the present, in this unique and unrepeatable moment of life that I get to live.
