For this week, we are presenting a Guitar Cover of the famous Highlife song, Joromi by Sir. Victor Uwaifo.

The Song was released in 1965 and today it still remains a great Highlife piece.

Sir. Victor Uwaifo is truly a Musical Legend and a versatile musician.

Victor Efosa Uwaifo MON (1 March 1941 – 28 August 2021)[1] was a Nigerian musician, writer, sculptor, and musical instrument inventor, university lecturer, music legend, and the first Honorable Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism in Nigeria. He was the winner of the first gold disc in Africa (Joromi) released in 1965 and seven other gold discs in Guitar boy, Arabade, Ekassa series and Akwete music. He recorded under the name "Victor Uwaifo and His Titibitis."

This great Legend died on the 28th of August, 2021. So this rendition will serve as a tribute to this great icon 👏

AIM OF THE "HIGHLIFE WEEKEND ON HIVE" EVENT

• The Highlife Weekend on Hive is a weekly event that is founded on Hive to nourish and enrich the Hive Musical Family (and the Hive Community at large) with Highlife Musical Genre.

• It is our sole aim to spread the love, the calmness, the smiles, the culture, the songs and the dance associated with this Musical Genre.

• We also intend to use this means to drive engagement in the Hive Musical Community and enrich the Hive Community.

HIVE ON-BOARDING PLANS

We intend to use this event to reach out to artists, musicians and dancers who aren't on Hive. We will invite those who are talented but are not part of Hive. They will receive their due reward upon payout. This will give them first-hand experience of a platform where they can be rewarded for their content, talents, efforts and sacrifices.

REWARD PLANS

Hive Community rewards authors and creators of contents for their hardwork and quality content. On our own part, we shall also direct the reward to the author, however certain percentage will automatically go to 3speaks, Hive Music Community and the founder of this event @ksam.

If the author isn't a member of Hive yet, the HBD cash equivalent will be sent to him/her and the Hive Power will be sent as Hive Coin to his/her Hive Wallet (Newly created Hive account/Trust Wallet or exchange platforms) or both will be sent as cash. The evidence of the transaction will be shown on the following week's episode for transparency.
