Exploring Blockchain Games

We can define blockchain in its loose sense as a “block of chains” or “chains of blocks”; either ways, we refer to something that speaks of interconnectedness between a set of "blocks." We can also go further to loosely understand the "blocks" in terms of a "ledger," and in this way the chain connects the ledgers, albeit in a more close and stronger way.

As a technical term, @leoglossary defines Blockchain as that which "joins groups of financial transactions together in what are called blocks." This definition also re-echoes the idea of interconnectedness, however it categorically identifies this set of "(blocks](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-block)" as a "group of financial transactions."

A definition which I love to use, which I deduced from various insights on other great minds is:

Blockchain is a set of automated and encrypted system that serves as a digital ledger such that it records every transaction from both parties, and such transactions are time stamped without the possibility of amending or changing the records.

From this definition we can deduce that Blockchain is:

• An automated system: It is automatic, and done by machines.
• An encrypted system: It runs via codes.
• A digital, immutable and transparent ledger.

Thus, from the foregoing, the following can be said of blockchain:

• The records of transactions on blockchain cannot be changed, modified, edited or tampered with once the transaction has been verified.
• The records and data on the blockchain are safe and secured.
• Transactions using blockchain are fast and quick unlike the traditional style.
• With blockchain, there is no need of inviting a third party to take record of the transactions.
• The transaction can be made at any time and at anywhere.

BLOCKCHAIN GAMES

The world of blockchain is quite vast, as it contains so many components and amazing features. Blockchain games is part of such component, and it refers to games that are built on or incorporated into the world of blockchain.

Aside playing games for fun and relaxation, blockchain games takes it a step further and gives you the possibility to earn cryptocurrency (in-game currency) while playing the game (Play2earn) which can be converted to fiat. It also gives you the opportunity to own your in-game assets (NFTs) like Game characters, guns, cars, game skin or land. These items can be used in the game, they can be rented out to other players for a fee (your passive income) and they can be auctioned in the game marketplace at a higher price (massive income).
