    About :

It’s the Fourth of July, friends! For the last four years, @vermillionfox and I have taken a photo of her holding sparklers with her tits ready to fall out of the bottom of her shirt […sorry, you’ll have to scroll back through my feed for those]. This year, I felt off. Hard to put a point on what it was. I felt a heavy lack of enthusiasm this holiday. I mean, I was never a huge patriot. I think more than anything, it was an excuse to set of fireworks, which I can be completely patriot agnostic to do. After contemplating it for most of the day, I think it’s just my apathy for us. Society, government, leadership.

We did have a great day, patriotism not withstanding. I’ve been saying for weeks that I was going to take my electric unicycle from my house to @caffetto in uptown. About a 5.5 mile ride, and this morning, I actually did it. It was an easy ride, other than stitching together the available bike paths. Once I got that down, I was set. The ability to make that ride was 50% of my reasoning for buying it in the first place, so it felt like a huge accomplishment. @guthrie and @vermillionfox met me at @caffetto, then we all went to her grandparents for lunch while social distancing.

We stopped at Veteran’s Park near her grandma’s and we all unloaded our scooters and my EUC. We went around the bike path twice, enjoying the lush scenery and nature. It was hot, in the 90º’s, which is weather that would typically keep all three of us at home, but these PEV’s [personal electric vehicles] have gotten us out doors more this summer than ever. After the ride, we drove home. @guthrie ran in to continue his Fortnite adventures with friends from school. @vermillionfox and I worked in the garden, and @bryanpolitte and our friend Drew stopped by.

I’m going to be letting @bryanpolitte borrow my DJI Mavic Air 2 drone for a few days during a trip up north in Minnesota. I wanted to give him a few lessons on flying it and the different modes it’s capable of. I showed them Active Track, which is one of the most impressive features. Drew ran around BF Nelson Park trying to lose the drone and once it was locked on to him, he couldn’t shake it, even through trees! I ended the night in the parking lot across from my house practicing how to go backwards on my EUC, and almost got it,

After that, we did set off some fireworks. Nothing fancy.
