    About :

Greetings and welcome to another edition of the Shape of the Cape with your host and tour guide Julescape. Today in our little video clip I explore the shoreline further and come across a cosy little bush camp for myself. It looks nice and sheltered from the elements and happens to be just a little way from the water’s edge. Life in paradise on earth.
The climate is fine all year long here at this part of the African continent, way down south. If it rains my little shelter that I have found will certainly add some protection, though not totally. I may still need to add a bit more covering over the bushes for a decent roof covering. But for the moment the bush camp works well. And I am not too far from the sea shore itself, as you can see in the video clip. When you are a freedom-lover, and freedom is your most precious commodity, then this is the environment to find it.
Such is my life in the bush of Africa. I have plenty of wild open space to roam around on the vat expanse of shoreline. Africa is a big continent and South Africa has thousands of miles of coastline. And the most beautiful is along this Garden Route stretch, where I am filming currently.
I do recommend a visit if you ever get the chance to fly again. Who would have thought just a year ago that such a concept may vanish overnight. The absurdity of it leaves me stunned. Well if you do ever get that flight, then you are welcome to visit this stretch of the coastline and I will help to find you a bush to live under too. Or a cave, if you prefer. There are some nice caves along this coastline and one is sure to suit your needs.
I really feel at home on the shoreline, having been born and raised along this Africa coast. My entire life has been here. Most of the planet lives near the coast, for natural reasons. It is more pleasant generally and so I have a stretch of world class location here. International borders are opening up gradually it seems, almost a year after the initial lockdown. Actually it has been about eight months since travel stopped, but now it may be opening up.
So come and explore the adventurous coastline here in the south. You will enjoy the vast open expanse with hardly anyone around. I have the entire visible place to my self most days when I climb about the cliffs. It really is a paradise on earth. I feel so blessed having found such a region to make my playground any day of the week all year long.
