The sky is pictured as a globe, by contrast to the visualization of flat earthers, who presume that the sky is a semi-globe or dome. The notion of a semi-globe with no bottom half is odd, illogical, and counter-intuitive. Ancient peoples universally imagined to sky to be a full globe, the celestial sphere, not a dome-like covering. Likewise, they imagined the celestial bodies including the earth to be round, spherical, not disk-like.
