Having a Tank with a self-healing ability or supported by a Tank Heal gives added strength to the Tank to some degree when that is taken away due to the ruleset, it becomes a matter of finding ways to win and ensuring the backline monsters or gladiators are capable of getting the job done.
This is where Katie comes in with the magic snipe ability with the bloodlust in a Healed Out battle ruleset.
Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed from monsters and summoners.

Even with the healing ability removed URIEL THE PURIFIER is capable of being a tough Tank to get rid of due to its high health and Armore, though it misses every other round due to the Recharge ability, it is very much a deadly card to have on your side. The Flight ability was quite effective in this fight as it evaded a number of attacks before its eventual elimination.
My opponent and I had CORSAIR BOSUN in the second spot of our respective lineups because it is a suitable card with the Reflection Shield ability for this fight as well as the ability to attack from the second position with the Reach ability. The health and armor of Bosun are fairly good to hold up the frontline for a bit since it has a weakness for magic attacks but a very useful card in the Briar Patch ruleset.
SOUL FIEND in the third spot in my lineup was to take space and take a hit for the team should Bosun get eliminated and it turned out that way.
Unlike Soul Fiend, DAX PARAGON survived the fight as it found itself in the frontline following the elimination of Soul Fiend. Dax Paragon is without an ability at level 1 but does get very useful from level 2 with the Amplify ability.
ADELADE BRIGHTWING occupies the fifth spot in my lineup with the Flight, Repair, and Resurrect abilities. The Resurrect ability helped Uriel against some health damages and also had it resurrected so Brightwing was a useful addition to my lineup serving almost like a Tank Heal.
I was not worried to throw CAPTAIN KATIE in the backline as I was confident my opponent won't be using sneak attacks due to the Briar Patch ruleset so the backline is the suitable spot for Katie so it can gather as much bloodlust as it pleases.
