After over an entire week of consistent rainfall, I seized the opportunity for a walk in the last two days.
I hadn't been on the beach for over a week and by getting onto the sand and not the sidewalk like I did Tuesday, I discovered the tides had moved inwards by an approximate +-40 meters which is quite a lot.
It quickly reminded me of the incident in South Africa as the tides were stronger there with properties destroyed, apparently three lives were lost sadly.
While South Africa's incident was on the South shore of Africa, having a slight impact here on the Western shore of Africa showed the magnitude of the waves was extremely strong pushing outwards.
Scary stuff come to think of it.
Aside from nature exhibiting signs of anger, I had a nice walk yesterday, I met a beautiful lady on the beach, she is so adorable.
I took photos of her footprints in the sand, I walked up to her and showed them to her, her smile was lovely it could make a man forget his nagging in just a jiffy.
There was a struggle with communication from the onset but we managed, it was nice watching her struggle to speak English with me π
She said she had been in Ghana for a month so she learned a bit of English but that was long ago, so we agreed to help each other to learn the language.
Can't wait to see her again, damn she is a beauty! π
It was the most beautiful walk on the beach I have had in Benin as I ended up walking her a stone throw away from her house. ππ
