Hive Open Mic SEMANA 161 / Pancita de majarete / @jetta.amaya (Español/Ingles)

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, estoy complacida de compartir con ustedes una vez más en la gran tarima de Open Mic. Esta semana la temática es maravillosa, se trata de “My Original Song”. Confieso que me puso algo nerviosa, porque pocas veces me he animado a componer, pero al mismo tiempo me entusiasmo la idea de compartir con ustedes una de las pocas canciones que he compuesto.

Este es un tema que escribí para @aly.squid hace 8 años cuando estábamos comenzando nuestra relación, fue uno de mi regalos. Tiene por título “Pancita de majarete”, el majarete es un dulce tradicional de Venezuela, tiene su origen en el centro del país pero es popular en todo el territorio nacional. Es una especie de flan que se cuaja cuando se enfría, por lo que podría parecer una gelatina en lo tembloroso. Por esa razón escogí esta analogía para expresar los nervios y la emoción que me hacía sentir.

Esta vez me he atrevido a interpretarla también en el cuatro, no soy instrumentista pero he hecho un gran esfuerzo para tocarla, creo que se notan en el vídeo mis nervios, pero me ha gustado mucho, lo he hecho con todo mi amor. Espero les agrade, Aly y yo nos divertimos mucho grabando este video, es una canción corta, pero en breves palabras he podido expresar como me sentía en ese momento y como me sigo sintiendo por una persona tan especial y ¿Qué otro fin tiene la música que no sea el de expresar lo que sentimos? Love greetings to all my Hive friends, I am pleased to share with you once again on the big Open Mic stage. This week the theme is wonderful, it's "My Original Song". I confess that it made me a little nervous, because I have rarely been encouraged to compose, but at the same time I was excited to share with you one of the few songs I have composed.

This is a song I wrote for @aly.squid 8 years ago when we were starting our relationship, it was one of my gifts. It's titled "Pancita de majarete", the majarete is a traditional Venezuelan sweet, it has its origin in the center of the country but it's popular all over the country. It is a kind of flan that curdles when it cools, so it could look like a jelly in the shaky. For that reason I chose this analogy to express the nerves and excitement it made me feel.

This time I have dared to play it also on the cuatro, I am not an instrumentalist but I have made a great effort to play it, I think you can see in the video my nerves, but I liked it very much, I have done it with all my love. I hope you like it, Aly and I had a lot of fun recording this video, it is a short song, but in short words I have been able to express how I felt at that moment and how I still feel for such a special person, and what other purpose does music have than to express what we feel? I say goodbye for now, a hug for everyone.
